... that's not the whole story:

A New Orleans Saints fan was sentenced to six months of court supervision Tuesday after he was found guilty of shoving Chicago Bears owner George McCaskey during an argument over seats last December, the Chicago Tribune reported. It was reported after his conviction that Saints fan Richard Kohnke, 58, of New Orleans, upon leaving the courthouse, reportedly pointed in the general direction of the Soldier's Field scoreboard and muttered, "Who won the game, McCaskey ... who won the game?"

Nice.

I hope that wealthy owner felt like a dip **** sitting in an actual court of law, suing a middle income fan of a visiting team for shoving him.

I wasn't there. I don't know the details. But c'mon man...

This is the first I've heard of any of this. Shoving is a crime now? And it wasn't even a woman he shoved. I don't know what words may have been said... Maybe this McCaskey guy deserved to be shoved or maybe the fan acted poorly, but either way that's a ridiculous thing to take someone to court over.

The mid west stadiums I have been to have had tighter security than an airport. Some games have seemed to have more people in security shirts than in team colors. Visiting an away stadium, sitting in the wrong seats and pushing a home towner -regardless of economic status- in the back no less? That's pure dumb ass and should be taxed. He's lucky he didn't end up in the pokey as well.

The owner could probably afford better seating anyway.

If he'd shove a over-privileged pr*ck like George McCaskey, wonder what he'd do to Roger Goodell?!?

I don't get it. That ****er gave all Who Dats a black eye. Made us look bad. What would this thread be saying if it was a Da Bears guy doing that to Loomis or Benson?

Meh, not that black, it is Chicago (not the friendliest of venues in any sport) and he's one of your own ****ers, so you got his back, :). Remember the response around here to the Saints fan taking the ball away from the Cincinnati fan in the endzone? It was appropriate then & it's appropriate now, #shrug.

I'd like to think Loomis/Benson would have handled a situation with visiting fans differently vs calling security and thus avoiding an incident ... offer a different seating venue, free beer or two, one of those foam, black-n-gold "we're #1" fingers ... in any event, pretty sure it woulda' been a more friendlier exchange, ;).

I wonder what the owner said to him to get him that ticked off. then again by the time you get your seats in Chicago you are verbally assaulted by 40% of the fans you walk past. With a couple of shoulder bumps for good measure. It has some rough fans and not the friendliest place in the world. hell their murder rate beats ours.

I've never been one to let another person's actions represent me. We're all pulling for the same team, but we're not a team unto ourselves. I just think that shoving somebody is not THAT big of a deal. I also have no way of knowing what REALLY happened.

It was just a shove, it was only a few p.s.i., it was only a few Vicodin, it was just a bounty. The DJ's in Atlanta were only having fun! Hell why was Junior cut? Go sign Ray Rice tomorrow! I live in the Mid West, the security personnel approved this response. (After a shoving match, of course!)
