Brandin Cooks might have been New Orleans' leading receiver as a rookie last season if not for an injury that sidelined him for the final six games.

So as his understanding of the Saints' offense grows, so does his potential to be a game-breaker. ''He's smart and he's a tireless worker. He can run. He can get on top of the defense,'' Saints coach Sean Payton said following practice at training camp Thursday. Sorry teddy - I disagree. The Saints must have some faith in the kid or they would have been more concerned about getting some WR help. Also - he was in San Diego for much of the off season working with Drew. In a quote I read he was more manic than Drew in wanting to work & improve. When you are working harder than Drew - you are really working!

Oh that's right; you feel our 5th ranked offense is more of a problem than our 31st ranked defense; even though this off season has proved even the coaches feel 180 degree different... |

Between the addition of CJ Spiller and Cooks going into his 2nd season, we have some awesome weapons at our disposal.
Add to that some young guys with serious potential in Coleman, Jones, Snead, Murphy, Hill, Morgan and Saunders, and we have all the weapons we need for Drew to shred just about any defense in the league. I'd like to add maybe another pass catching option at TE, but if we fail in 2015, it won't be because we don't have any Offensive weapons. |

I guess before 2007 people like Lance Moore, Pierre Thomas and Devery Henderson were not at all household names so there's a good chance it could happen again with this young wide receiver group! |
