Camp Beast - WR Willie Snead

This cat is catching everything that comes near him, getting all up in Browner's face today, plays fearless.

Get to know this dude, I'm convinced he WILL make this team at WR.

Solid hands, good at fighting for balls. Not much speed but who cares if he's hauling it in and moving the chains.

Good to hear this. Sounds like he is hungry.
Very positive report.

Sounds like Lance Moore doesn't it :p?

It's gonna be interesting... It sounds like Seantavious Jones will probably be headed to the practice squad again. So with Colston, Cooks, Toon and Coleman being sure things it's a tight race between both Morgan's, Snead and Prater.

You've got to believe that Sean Payton will make room for a guy that will get in the face of one of the toughest players in the league.

Sean Payton said he wanted, tough, fundamentally sound football, Snead sounds like he meets the criteria so far.

Yeah, he had a poor 40 at the combine at 4.6, but ran in the 4.5's on his pro day.

I haven't seen him yet but I suspect he's probably more quick than fast, kinda like Lance was to an extent.

If Drew likes him, he's probably gonna make it.

Didn't realize Toon was a sure thing.

Who knows? We might actually have more than two receivers.

Re: Camp Beast - WR Willie Snead

Toon [6'4"] and Coleman [6'6"] could be deadly in the red-zone and if Prater [6'5"] makes the team :bng:

Re: Camp Beast - WR Willie Snead

Payton was already comfortable with what we had at WR not to draft a player...

Then this guy falls in our laps?!?

Thank you, Lord!

I noticed that and thought, "Damn, when Payton isnt drafting a receiver, something must look really solid. Normally, he drafts WR,s even when we're packed with them.

... and if you read the other thread on Willie Snead, this dude is literally
fighting to feed his family. He's hungry.
-- and the downside of him is??? Oh, the 40 yard dash. Please.
Ask the guys who passed on Jerry Rice...

OH Goodie,Goodie, Goodie, more pipe dream reporting. All we need is two of these pipe dreams, just two, to become some what of a reality for the saints when the season starts.

Fingers crossed and still praying.

The job is there for the taking. Catching passes from Brees will get you paid.

I'd rather Coleman get the job. C names Colston Cooks Coleman. There's something there.

No doubt.

I read he was back fielding punts at practice on yesterday. Another opportunity provided for Snead to snag a rosters spot.

Re: Camp Beast - WR Willie Snead

Considering where they played tonight it looks like Coleman or Snead won't be starting. And we're gonna deal with Toon or Morgan.

Danno 08-21-2015 05:26 PM

Re: Camp Beast - WR Willie Snead

I can't wait to see him tomorrow night.

Is he the next Lance Moore? Or is he the next Andy Tanner, Nick Toon or Adrian Ariington?

My money is on him making this team, as our 4th WR, Joe Morgan being 5th and then who the F' ever.
