Some good news out of camp for once
Ingram looks fantastic. Running great and catching looks like he's finally gotten there. Sunserie and Breaux always near the ball. Doesn't matter who the QB and receivers are they are always at the ball. Snead continues to Impress and Colston looks as good as ever. Pete was at left guard today and is looks to be improving. TEs getting a lot of work and Watson looks good. Kicking battle continues both hitting from 59. Good to hear. Needed to hear some positives!

There's been a ton of good news coming out of camp for 2 weeks. The only bad news so far has been the substitution issues during the 1st scrimmage. I'd say good news has outpaced the bad news 10-1. |

Re: Some good news out of camp for once
The injuries are a little worrisome; Paytons' refusal for full disclosure of same, which he is well within guidelines, is frustrating...
But there is slightly more guarded cautious optimism coming out of Camp Shining than negative notes... |

I don't get it. You imply there wasn't any good news until the report on Ingram, yet for two weeks we heard mostly good news every day. |
Re: Some good news out of camp for once
With Coleman, resting/recovering, Seantavius Jones has stepped up...
Payton spoke glowingly how Jones added honest, effective downfield blocking and that he seems to have found an extra gear as Coleman has shown in camp... |
Re: Some good news out of camp for once
And we'll find out in the preseason game against the Ravens, but so far Stephone Anthony not only looks like he'll justify his selection in the first round, but he may have been a steal there and will be the best MLB we've had since Sam Mills...

I'm not saying there aren't things to get excited about. I am just saying the media has chosen to report on a lot of negative stuff. And I don't know why on earth you singled out Ingram, I named several players on offense and defense. |

Re: Some good news out of camp for once
I try not to read too much into the early reports from camp. We are all chomping at the bits for info, but camp stories are the same every year. The vet who is suddenly looking good..someone looks ready for a bounce back, someone struggling with an injury, someone who is supposed to be good but struggling, someone we have never heard of making impressions...etc...etc..etc. Around the 3rd preseason game, it will all come into focus.

As a life long Saints fan I'm always optimistic. :)

Re: Some good news out of camp for once
I have a blah feeling about this team. Think we wasted money in places and we'll never see Byrd play up to his pay. O-line will be improved but still some holes. Tons of injuries in training camp.
Then again, I'm the guy who felt this way before the 2009-2010 season and I got rid of my season tickets............ |
Re: Some good news out of camp for once
I didn't eat the gumbo on super bowl hype last preseason, not doing any different this preseason. its training camp and its not going to send no one to the super bowl, the team over ate the smoke sausage and got upset bellys and hearts broke.

Re: Some good news out of camp for once
I don't want news. I want radio silence out of camp.
I don't want the endless speculation leaking from social media. We are preparing for the fight of our lives (Saints) with a QB whom deserves to lead a team to the dance without outside influences commenting on nothing they know not of... Peter King and company need to shut up. To make it into the NFL is a privilege not a right. Players are leaders and if they don't like it they should seek employment elsewhere. What I want to hear out of camp is that they made a choice to shut out media, all media, radio, social, network ... I rethought Bill's press conferences and I like way he doesn''t ever tell anyone anything. I also reconsidered Lynch's press conferences during the Superbowl, he spoke the truth. Keep in mind it is only my opinion. |

Re: Some good news out of camp for once
Forgive me all. Living in Wisconsin. Subject to 24/7 Green Bay Packer news has got me raw.
One of my drivers injured another driver when he received an alert on his iPhone regarding the Pack. He was on a forklift and failed to look around.... |
