Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS VS. RAVENS 2015 PRESEASON KICKOFF
Highs:
Griffin and Grayson played well Eulls, Davison and Spencer were in on a lot of plays in the 2nd half Khiry Looks to be in midseason form, stronger than ever Brandin Cooks Lows: McCown 1st and 2nd team defense mental mistakes costing 15 penalties Complete collapse at the end on defense(I hope this teaches all the coaches you don't blitz everyone on a 4th and 20) Injuries to key starters and finally the loss So, yeah, I saw more lows than highs. The benefit is there is a lot of game film to watch in order to clean up the mess and there is no way that team can go in the locker room to start the season feeling like they are Super Bowl favorites. Not after that abomination on the field tonight. |

Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS VS. RAVENS 2015 PRESEASON KICKOFF
Bad
Luke McClown numbers after the game are very deceiving 7/10 75 yards and 1 touchdown rtg 125 higher than Griffin 98. He didn't look comfortable at all while Griffin looked very poised and throwing precise passes and throwing it away when nothing was there. Good K Robinson was the star on offense look very explosive Bad Defensive line was a big disappointment. The 1st string couldn't get pressure nor could they stop the run Good Spencer was the star on defense. Pressuring the qb and played strong against the run |

Grayson appeared to go well. Add him to the good list.

Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS VS. RAVENS 2015 PRESEASON KICKOFF
Personally, I think last night's lost was impressive. Down 17- zip, the Gumbo Boys could have imploded (which I have seen often). But they held on, chipped away and even took the lead for a few moments.
AND WE HAVE KICKERS AGAIN! The D, while yes they gave up several BIG (duh) plays and had too many penalties, were hungry ball getters (like in days of old). Some roster cuts are going to be hard choices. |
Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS VS. RAVENS 2015 PRESEASON KICKOFF
I think Anthony looked really good for his first live NFL-action.
Kikaha showed good speed and mobility albeit he read the plays a little slow. I think those two fellows will be starting LBs for us for a long time. Unger is the real deal! |
Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS VS. RAVENS 2015 PRESEASON KICKOFF
It shows how bad you are when you watch a defense that attacks every snap.
The ravens attacked our O line and won 70% of the time, our defense just stood up and waited to see what the play was before trying to stop it. Anthony and Kikaha were active and both tackle really well, Kikaha in a couple instances was very close to getting sacks. We'll just have to see what happens with the defense in regular season. I'll repeat what I said in game day chat though, yeah Rob Ryan's in charge of the D, but I'm starting to question SP because he's hiring coordinators that are good for one season then shoddy afterwards. 3 defensive coordinators in 4 years is not good and Payton should be held accountable too! Remember that we have looked both good and bad in preseason before and it's all changed when the regular season started. |

Consider using words like, RR attends to the D like he does to his diet; neither are tight or in control. |
