Brandon Browner's Injury

Let's hope this is true.

After being carted to the locker room during Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, a source said early indications are the cornerback did not suffer a significant injury.

This is true. All the injuries are very concerning. I hope this gets addressed.

Crossing fingers its just a knee bruise and nothing with a L in it wrong.

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

Personally I'm not that worried about whether or not the penalty machine is gonna miss some time or not. I predicted a while ago that Breaux would take over as the #2 CB before season's end.

Breaux got hurt too

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

Yeah but lets wait a day because the next day is usually when you feel it. We see so many "he looks fine" later that night only to find out he's done for the season the next day. A example.....Will Smith in 2013 pre-season.

i hope this is true, but I have heard that before only to see a guy place on IR

I didn't start panicking too bad until I found out Breaux was injured as well. Then I started freaking out.

Thing is....I didn't watch the game. But everyone here says it was awful. My question to those that watched...is our defense going to get trucked again this year?

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

Well the cool thing about the D is you've seen this show before. You have about 13-14 games of film from last year to take a look at

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

My BIGGEST concerns is the defensive line. They can't get pressure nor stop the run. Where was KW and JJ? Our cbs gonna be gas out if they don't show up

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

After all the roster moves and scheme changes we managed to finish the game in the exact same fashion we did last year.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they fired Ryan and promoted Dennis Allen

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

I was at the game and Browner got beat bad and they carted him to the locker room right in front of us. Ton of penalties against the Saints 16, very few against the Ravens 6. No Brees at all McCown was lifeless in the first half. The only bright spot was Griffin and Grayson in the second half they made a game of it. The defense was porous but it looked like RR is expecting twins. The Raven fans are crazy but i did see a pretty good amount of Who Dats around me which was surprising.

I am not even sure JJ played or KW...someone correct me if I am wrong. I probably am, but #74 was horrible.

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

To me,the D looked soft and undisciplined. The offense looked OK for being Breesless. Im really disappointed in the penalties. I'm starting to question Payton's passion in his coaching. I don't remember his teams being this sloppy in the early years...even in preseason.

Hard to say in pre-season game, but 4th and 20 and they succeed is reminiscent of last years defense. Hopefully none of those injured are serious injuries.

2 starting cornerbacks out is a disaster.

Agreed.

Browner is probably done for year with our luck. Back to the Keenan Lewis - John Doe Manequin secondary...

When the 1's were in against the 1's, they got completely trucked and were plowed through like Flacco was driving a steamroller though butter. They got thrown around like rag dolls. Then later in the game, there was a 4th and 20 that the defense gave up. Very reminiscent of last year.

As for the regular season, we'll see.

#74 NT Ashaad Mabry, Rookie, 6' 3", 315 lbs, UDFA Texas-San Antonio

He was supposed to be listed above Lawrence Virgil, who seemed to outplay him; Virgil was later carted off the field...

I kept hearing this guys name mentioned - Eulls

He kept batting passes and getting into the backfield

Anthony Spencer also played very well, he looks like a very good player.

Browner did get a PI called on him before he went down. Still, I want him back quickly. He's the best we've got besides westbank.

Re: Brandon Browner's Injury

Hoping he recovers quickly. I gotta say though, in the limited action he got, Breaux looked like the real deal. I was really excited to see him play and wish we could've seen more. Luckily his injury wasn't anything serious either. He's gonna push for a lot of playing time this season.

That's easy for you to say since you don't have Peter King following your posts late at night. :annoyed:
