Hall of Fame Inductees- 05
Steve Young, Dan Marino make it in. Harry Carson and Michael Irvin are snubbed in the final round. Carson was a great defender, but probably lost some glitz and glamour seeing as how he played with that LT guy. Irvin, dunno. Although I like him, he is a loud mouth and arrogant person, though that shouldn't keep him from the hall. I think he gets in eventually. A couple of other notables not making it in were Derrick Thomas LB from KC, if any of you remember him playing he was an absolute animal at rushing the QB. I think he had like 7 sacks in one game, an NFL record. Another was Art Monk, who had like 1 million receptions.

I think Irvin gets in at some point (and I say this begrudgingly). My opinion on his playing has been that if the NFL didn\'t allow WRs to push off - especially on teams that the NFL execs obviously like - then his numbers wouldn\'t be so good.
He is the King of Pushing Off. I saw him do it his entire career. The funny thing for me is most guys go into broadcasting and help themselves get in the Hall by becoming an on air personality that people like. I have to say...I like him even less now that he\'s on tv screaming junk all the time. He\'s just plain annoying and apparently thinks the loudest person wins the argument. |

Irvin and Monk should both be in. I guess he should have played(monk) 40 seasons like Jerry!
