Stills is getting too much hype
 

Why did Brees not like him? Was it chemistry? Not being on the same page? Not being open? Doing my ff prep I looked at his game log last year and he catched almost every pass Drew threw at him. So I am scratching my head here.

It was obvious every week that Brees hated how the team was playing, whilst Kenny kind of had a "oh well never mind" sort of view of the situation.

It is strange, I have played with teammates like that. They put in all the work and like to play but don't really care about the results in the games.

My thought was after shining as a rookie, he got upset at the Saints drafting another WR and featuring/forcing the ball to him. Childish. Selfish. Pouted. Gone.

Stills was and is on breaking out as a very good WR. I can live with a trade but if Brees didn't like his attitude so what. As long as he put forth effert and did his job who cares. Brees maybe the face of the team but their are certain things he should not be so concerned with all the time, thats someone elses job, his is to be the qb.

Its speculation for sure, but we've heard it from several sources so there may be something to it.

The guy was a dependable wr. He might had that "so what" attitude but on game day he look like he was all in

We are going to regret getting rid of him and graham without replacing them with one above average receiver.
Which would be fine if I thought our defense was going to be any better.

Stills liked to party into the early morning hours on game days. At least that's what I've read. Brees was probably pissed that he was hungover on Sunday's. Now he's in Miami... Whoa good luck Dolphins.

Probably part of the reason why our player's don't respect Payton that much anymore.

who knows he maybe one of the guys that was always showing up late. on the field does not justify the trade. it has to be off the field.

Yeah, like WRs with a "I don't give a ****" attitude in the offense he leads. Why would Brees be concerned about that? Not like it undermines his leadership or anything.

The reality is, even if we know the plays, we don't see what the QB or coaches see. When you see an incomplete pass, or a pass not thrown someone's way, none of us really know why that happened. Only the coaches and the QB know exactly what should've happened. So we really don't know how the team viewed Stills' play.

Seems to me for someone with a "don't give a **** attitude, he played well enough on the field not to justify a trade and going 7-9 there were probably many in that locker room with attitudes. And Brees is just a player, he doesn't need to like any of his teammates as long as they do their job. Brees has jockeyed for players to be Saints before who's to say he couldn't jockey to let them go?

And how do you really know this "well enough" that you saw, meant that, in the eyes of the coaches, he played poorly based on what was expected of him?

And Brees is not "just a player". He is the QB of the New Orleans Saints. He's the one who throws the ball to the WRs. And he's the one who expects WRs to do certain things, depending what he calls in the huddle.
