I posted that in another thread to show Gumbo how we could absolutely not afford Surtain at his current salary. I am sure after some cute od what not we will have more, but nowhere near the realm of what Surtain is making.

Hodge, Ruff, and Riley are all UFA\'s just to name a few..it wouldn\'t hurt my feelings if they were gone. I know the other two are, but not 100% on Ruff anybody have a list?

I was under the impression that UFAs don\'t count against our cap - e.g. Howard, et. al.?

Maybe I should wade through all the resources LKelley has diligently posted... or someone could just tell me?

I dunno how that number is calculated, but it seems off. Maybe not, but everything I\'ve heard throughout the year is that the Saints will be in an excellent cap situation again this year. Who knows?

If that\'s what our number really is - expect to see the same players on the field next year minus a few high dollar players like Pathon, etc.

I agree. I kept yearing it was in the 11-12 mil range. It seems that it isn\'t.
