Lewis and Vaccaro miss practice
1 Attachment(s)
"At this rate, the New Orleans Saints might have trouble fielding a complete secondary during their joint practices against the New England Patriots this week.
Safety Kenny Vaccaro left Tuesday’s practice early, according to multiple reports -- though he walked off under his own power and was watching from the sideline during the afternoon walk-through. And cornerback Keenan Lewis was absent from the afternoon walk-through, according to NOLA.com and the New Orleans Advocate. It’s unclear if Lewis’ absence was injury-related." New Orleans Saints DBs Kenny Vaccaro, Keenan Lewis the latest to miss - NFC South - ESPN This is getting concerning. Currently every projected starting DB is out with injury, this includes the nickle corner. I hope most of these are minor injuries and the staff is giving extra time off to the players. However knowing we are 1 week into preseason and might have trouble fielding a defense that doesn't look like a practice squad is a problem. It would be foolish for us to hope for anything else but getting these guys healthy when the season starts. 0-4 preseason sounds fine to me if our star players can stay healthy. The question is why so many injuries? |
Re: Lewis and Vaccaro miss practice
Im starting to question the strength and conditioning coaches. These guys are dropping like flies.

soft camp makes for soft players

Re: Lewis and Vaccaro miss practice
pretty sure it is probably being overly cautious, and giving players a day off here and there. Plus it allows for younger guys to get more reps, etc. Maybe I am wrong and our entire team is Stay Puff

Re: Lewis and Vaccaro miss practice
have to eyeball conditioning position coaches, unless its just staged by coaches that have already pushed the panic button. get them out of there and let the camp meat get there licks in. im not feeling good about this crappo. millions and millions of bucks soaking in ice is unacceptable.

Wow... this reminds me of a few hard times from the 60s. :bart: Answer: She would be 83, but died on June 29, 1967 at age 34. The death certificate stated that the immediate cause of Mansfield's death was a "crushed skull with avulsion of cranium and brain". |
Re: Lewis and Vaccaro miss practice
Do we technically have to have a defense this year?

Re: Lewis and Vaccaro miss practice
You know, I'm not gonna give any credence to anything Junior Galette says... But he did recently call out our strength and conditioning program. He might have a point there. This has been a concern ever since Payton got here.
