Marques Colston believes he'll play in Saints' second preseason game
It's not set in stone just yet, but fans of the New Orleans Saints may see wide receiver Marques Colston in the team's second preseason game. When the Saints take on the New England Patriots on Saturday, August 22, Nick Underhill of The New Orleans Advocate reports that Colston believes he'll play this week.

He could be like AP and skip the preseason. Wouldn't concern me at all.

Colston starts every season now hurt, hobbled, or with poor play. He picks up steam midway through the season.
The question is, will he catch the damn ball? |

He didn't mean it Marques. He's just nervous for the season. We all know you'll be a pro bowler this year (and a Superbowl champ). |

I still believe the old man needs an eye exam.

Re: Marques Colston believes he'll play in Saints' second preseason game
Marques Colston has been a GREAT teammate and Pro over the years but sometimes people forget he is 32. He could be at the point where his skills somewhat diminish. Eventually Father time gets us all.
It will be a sad day when he decides to call it quits. |

It's unfortunate to see but the passes that Colston used to catch with his eyes closed, he is now struggling to make.
We should start addressing WR for the future in the coming drafts, Cooks will be our #1 for years. |
Re: Marques Colston believes he'll play in Saints' second preseason game
I never thought of him as a WR, he's more of a quasi TE. He runs certain routes 15-20 yards and usually gets blasted hard after the grab due to his size. Injuries, and he has had a lot, are catching up to him. Add to that a decline in the marginal speed he had...still a play maker but we need to move on soon. I hope he can at least make the PB once and Cooks might make that happen for him. Gotta catch your balls though.
