this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Brooks was a "good" but not great QB. IMO, he wasn't a good leader. Never looked at film on the sidelines, never coached any of his teammates up, and wasn't the type of player that makes others around him play ...

Brooks was a "good" but not great QB. IMO, he wasn't a good leader. Never looked at film on the sidelines, never coached any of his teammates up, and wasn't the type of player that makes others around him play better. I honestly think he's a nice and decent person with good qb dkills but not-so-good leadership skills. Plenty of QB's like that in the league. Jay Cutler is the worst.

Brooks was more concerned about padding his stats and looking good than winning football games. That picture of him brought back some awful memories. He's right they were an absolute disgrace.

It would have been interesting to have seen Brooks in SPs system. I think a lot of his problems were due to bad coaching.
