When are 2015 NFL roster cuts?

The regular season kicks off the weekend of Sept. 10-14. But here are the deadlines for each roster move between now and then:

• Tuesday, Sept. 1: By 4 p.m. (EDT), all teams must reduce their active rosters from 90 to 75 players.

• Thursday, Sept. 3: All 32 teams play their final preseason games.

• Saturday, Sept. 5: By 4 p.m. (EDT), all teams must reduce their active/inactive rosters to 53 players.

• Saturday, Sept. 5: Also by 4 p.m. (EDT), per the NFL, teams "that have players in the categories of Active/Physically Unable to Perform or Active/Non-Football Injury or Illness must select one of the following options: place player on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform or Reserve/NonFootball Injury or Illness, whichever is applicable; request waivers; terminate contract; trade contract; or continue to count the player on the Active List."

• Sunday, Sept. 6: The claiming period for any players placed on waivers at final roster cuts expires at 12 p.m. (EDT).

• Sunday, Sept. 6: Beginning at 1 p.m. (EDT), teams may begin to establish their practice squads. No player may be added to any team's practice squad until all teams have been simultaneously notified that the player has been waived.

• Sunday, Sept. 6: After 4 p.m. (EDT), teams may place one player on the injured reserve/designated for return list.

• Thursday, Sept. 10: NFL regular season begins with Steelers at Patriots, 8:30 p.m.
