Wilson plays just like PRob. Another guy, same draft class, same problem.

He will be handing in his playbook on 2nd wave of cuts

Warren makes the team. Sunseri has knee injury (rumor). Got hurt on punt coverage.

Oh boy. Wilson again lol

Now this is just insulting to put Griffin in for mop up

If he leave I wish him much success

Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS AND TEXANS PRESEASON

McNown needs to be gone.
Grayson is not accurate and is devoid of touch. Serious work in progress.
Hightower and Murphy both make the squad.
5 WR's only.
Had hopes for Tull. Will be cut. Same for Coley.
When the Saints play man, receivers get by them.
S. Anthony just has not impressed me.
Safeties are invisible.
Joe Morgan still has an attitude. (Bad).
Hocker nailed the 53 yarder.
Coleman catches with his body. Won't serve him well.
The offense will have to control the clock and win games.
Just no play makers on defense.
The ball will have to bounce their way this season.

Just got home from game. If we thought our D would be improved, we were very wrong. D will be our Achilles heal again. Lewis was getting worked over so bad I couldn't believe it was him. No pressure again except for Kikaka(sp?) on back to back plays. One bright spot, Murphy. Man he looks good, very shifty.

Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS AND TEXANS PRESEASON

Pretty disappointing game from the Saints. Not worried about the offense at all, when Brees is in the offense looks good if not great. However, the defense is a whole other story. I think our biggest issue might be the secondary again this year and we are way too talented there to have that be the issue.

Not a single defensive back has looked good all preseason. For every good play they make another bad play is right behind it. I am not sure what to make of this team. If I were to judge them by the way the defense played I would say it's an 8-8 season at best, offense performs slightly better but the defense is just as bad.

This might be the first time in over 10 years I don't put some serious cash on the team to win it all...

Pre season is more about evaluating players.

You... You can't be, uh, serious. Please tell me you're joking. You might officially be the stupidest poster here if you believe the front office hates Christians.

Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS AND TEXANS PRESEASON

Chill with the insults, thats why I left PSR.

I have not seen our team draft many outwardly Christians. Byrd is religous but we did not draft him, his talent was why we signed him. We didn't want Tebow if I recall. There are others. Just saying how many players on our team can you say is a God fearing Christian. Because as far as drafting is concerned, we never have those kinds of rookies.

Though the board also was pushing for Grayson over Petty and I believe thats what led to the drafting of Grayson. SR did the same thing on their board. The QB is the most important position for maturity, you can win with a immature WR or RB, you can't with a immature QB. A religous person is more likely to be mature and study hard.

Edit your post because I edited mine.

If you were a more important poster here I would report you but obviously like TB you have been more critical than positive.

No, I'm not gonna chill with the insults. You really are the stupidest person on this board. Do you know how many openly Christian players we have on this team and have had in recent years?

I haven't seen anybody act like Petty.

I know Brees is a Christian, but I haven't seen him talk about it much. Who else is? Name them.

Do you have any objective proof to that last statement? I'm not knocking Christians. I am one myself, but I would love to see empirical proof to that statement? There's not.

Frankly, it's asinine to say it. How about if I said, I prefer pagans on the defensive line because they are more likely to play fierce? Or if I said non Christians make better football players because a Christian would rather be at church than play on Sunday? It's baseless and ridiculous.

Why not say you would rather the team draft Christians because you prefer football teams with players who believe like you do?

Oh and calling me stupidest person on here. My insights have been very strong on here. I called OBD being a top WR before last year's draft based on his highlight reels, I was one of the first ones to begin the trade Graham movement.

When it comes to the qb position, yes I prefer someone who will be mentally ready and mature to start as that is one half of what it takes to be a great qb. You do not want anyone other than that to lead your team for the next 10-15 years.

That's not what you said though. You attribute those qualities to a religious person. Do I want maturity in the QB position? Sure. But one does not need to be religious to be mentally ready or mature. I'm sure many atheists possess those qualities.

Two things you should never talk about on a sports forum: Politics and Religion. Politics has its own section. Religion should be kept to yourself.

Not understanding your argument.
If the definition of maturity or a good person is Christian, then you would have to explain charlemagne, romes adoption and horrible acts, crusades, inquisitions, etc etc etc.. some of the the dumbest and most immature people in history were nut ball fanatical Christians. Same as idiot fanatical muslims we have to deal with now, to any sane person.
This is football..its a game.. we just want good players. Try to keep on track. Your opinion is fine, just doesnt make sense in this venue. :bng:

McCown should be cut, the guy is terrible.

I hope Griffin shows something in the final preseason game.

Remember previous preseasons when Brees went to the bench, Chase Daniel would come out and light the backups up. I've not seen one our backups do something like that in a while.

But Christians are more mature, and in this day and age of young people, you never know what non-Christians' lives are like until after you draft them. There are way too many NFL players now that like to live and have fun, clubbing, partying. I don't see this with the best QBs in the league(except Wilson if you can call him that). Luck, Brees, Manning, Palmer, Rivers, Rodgers are all settled down. I'm not sure Rodgers was doing all that stuff before Munn. I think we found out why Griffin was struggling in past pre-seasons when it came to a head this offseason. I bet SP whipped him a new one or maybe getting his face smashed grew him up. However he's not tasked with having to watch film. And that separates the elite from the non-elite. So when that point comes he better get his act together if he hasn't.

I mean what do we know about Grayson's life off the field? I don't think Petty's doing anything this pre-season either but what team is he on again?

I don't think Petty is that guy. At all. And that Christianity is even condemned by the Bible what you described because no one is supposed to judge.

Re: LIVE THREAD SAINTS AND TEXANS PRESEASON

Religious people, in theory, if they follow their faith, are, by nature, disciplined, selfless, and courageous. Not to mention, again theoretically, for the benefit of those selectively offended, they would have a greater purpose, and be also less likely, to make it rain, or consume 8 balls. In theory.

thats my super holy religious take. if anyone doesnt like it, they can go f*ck themselves.

: ) have a nice day.

-- back on track... we looked like Sh1t vs. the Texans, who, without the benefit of a real NFL QB, atriculated the ball down the field like the '67 Chiefs.
There's no way to put lipstick on the pig that is our on-field performance.

What do you mean Christians are more mature? I've met may immature people who professed faith in Christ and I've met many mature young men and women who did not.

I'm not gonna argue the merits of religion, but you are making a boatload of assumptions that have no basis in fact except for your own imagination.
