Re: All roster's cut tracker
Brown cut Phil Taylor- please let this mammoth of a man come here, NT probblems solved. Would allow us to play a 3-4. He could be the missing link.

Re: All roster's cut tracker
According to ESPN Sunseri was released. At least that is what was sent to my phone.

Injuries rule the day: Injuries also played a role in the Saints trimming four recent draft picks from their current roster. They placed rookie cornerback P.J. Williams -- a third-round pick from Florida State -- on injured reserve. And they waived-injured WR Nick Toon (fourth round, 2012), linebacker Ronald Powell (fifth round, 2014) and safety Vinnie Sunseri (fifth round, 2014). All three could revert back to the Saints’ injured reserve list if they pass through waivers. |

Re: All roster's cut tracker
They picked Danny Shelton..... They don't need Taylor anymore..... Stopping the run and holding the point of attack problems solved if we hire him and he is healed.... Then these LBs can get after it....

Names of interest for our Practice Squad and/or Depth...

Re: All roster's cut tracker
Philip Wheeler is 30 years old, played in Miami, could be a value reserve?!?
Dezmin Lewis should be signed to the practice squad, acclimated to our offense, and probably would be a great No. 5 with his size/speed combo... NT Charles Tuaau has too much size to ignore; he'll need some coaching up... WR Daniel Brown is another big wide receiver who had his moments in pre-season... |
Re: All roster's cut tracker
And so it begins... Pierre Warren is being waived. Hopefully we can sneak him onto the practice squad.
|
Re: All roster's cut tracker
out of TOON
|
Re: All roster's cut tracker
Warren waived?!? He had a nice strip on special teams that was nullified...
|
Re: All roster's cut tracker
Pickup the WR we should've picked in 2014 instead of that ridiculous wasted pick of OT Rook in the 6th.
Jared Abbrederis, cut by GB. Should never reach their practice squad |
Re: All roster's cut tracker
opps, Abbrederis was taken in the 5th, but that's who we should've taken instead of oft-hurt, OLB Powell.
Instead of the wasted 6th pick on Rook, it should've been used on WR...Jeff Janis (who went in the 7th and just made the GB roster ...again) Ended up totally needing WRs that year and it was a deep WR draft. At least we got Cooks |
Re: All roster's cut tracker
How about the Vikes cut...OG David Yankey? Drafted in the 5th last year with good grades. Hurt last year. This year Vikes decided to try him at OT for some stupid reason and he sucked in pass protection as a OT.
Bring him in as OG where he belongs? Insurance. |
Re: All roster's cut tracker
This is the QB I hoped we'd take in the 7th this year. Just made the Vikes roster as UDFA.
Heinicke stays: Quarterback Taylor Heinicke had an impressive finish to the preseason, throwing for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns on Thursday night in the Vikings' preseason finale. Coach Mike Zimmer had said he preferred to keep three quarterbacks, and rather than risk losing Heinicke on waivers by trying to get him to the practice squad, the Vikings decided to keep the former Old Dominion quarterback, whom they signed as an undrafted free agent, on their roster. |

And I'll do one better - If he's healthy, released by the Rams, former Roll Tide alum Barrett Jones, he can play a number of positions; really liked this guy... |
Re: All roster's cut tracker
Nick Novak was cut by an even better kicker in San Diego, hmmm...
|
Re: All roster's cut tracker
