CJ Spiller
So according to Fantasy pros, a "source" says Spiller will miss the first 2 games. Not that this doesn't sound possible but it got me thinking. We need to stear clear of players. I can only remember recent times but we have got Jason David, Greer, Byrd and Spiller as of recently. The only one that was good was Greer.

Re: CJ Spiller
Man i hope not, i want to see Spiller on the field, he can be one of those difference makers that we need, just like Cooks.
|
Re: CJ Spiller
Considering we have yet to see him on the field even working off to the side, I would say there is no way he plays by week 1. We have so many injuries already it's ridiculous.

Doh!

Re: CJ Spiller
At least we've got Marcus Murphy.
Do not at all be surprised if we look at Marcus Murphy as a cheaper version of the CJ Spiller signing. |
Re: CJ Spiller
I am not as high on Murphy as everyone else seems to be, either my evaluation of talent sucks or the rest of the world's does ;). I am sticking with me for now....

He fits the satellite back role very nicely.:bng: |
Re: CJ Spiller
Spiller was a ridiculous signing. There was absolutely no reason to throw that kind of money at him.

Since TC started Murphy has allowed Spiller time to recover from his injury while he becomes familiar with this complex system. Spiller is a willing blocker and that can be tough on a smaller man. Also, we still have my man Robinson toting the rock and looking damn good doing it. I'm not worried about RB depth. We have enough depth to get value for a trade if needed.:bng: |
Re: CJ Spiller
I think Murphy might fill his shoes just fine. At least for two games
We really should not have gotten rid of Sproles. That was stupid in my opinion. |

Re: CJ Spiller
Murphy has been a pleasant surprise.Spiller so far is an unknown to the fans. Payton has a plan ,I just hope CJ can get on the field to see how it works .Guy has star potential. He needs to get healthy quick. So does Byrd.!!!!!

Re: CJ Spiller
The thing is, our use of the satellite back was figured out. The last year Sproles was with us he was completely ineffective because teams knew what we were doing with him. We became so predictable. I think it was crazy to sign Spiller to the same contract that we gave Ingram.

Re: CJ Spiller
I have 100% faith in Spiller. Ive watched him run in college, and his transition to the NFL was seemless unlike Ingram or Reggie. So he was NFL ready day one, on a bad team. Everyone was still slow to him.
He is a pure natural HalfBack. Something Reggie was not and Sproles was not. Spiller has 1/10th sight and foresight, and has made some of the best DL and LB's look silly. You have to be born with it, can not be taught that. He has the same mental football ability as Adrian peterson, but not the durability or shear power, but the same running ability. This is why I think he gets hurt. He thinks all or nothing. Something that made Deuce the best. But he is more fragile than those RB's, he just does not know it and pushes it every time. I wanted this kid in the draft. Heal him up. Spiller will come out to play day one. Mute the song is silly I would be stunned if he didnt do way better here than on a bad team like Buffulo, and better than any scat back we have had. Even Belicheck said he was huge problem. Reggie hit holes or died, Sproles hit holes faster or he died, spillers makes holes and finds holes he never gives up. I really like this kid, think we will get 3 good years out of him. LOL, and he ran like this on a realllly Cr@ppy team with no OL. Im not worried. Brilliant signing. Payton signed this kid so fast, I think, because he saw what I saw, and wanted him from the draft. Hes a pure natural half Back born to run the ball. Ask yourself a simple question what would have Spiller done with our OL, Brees, and SP from the draft ? Murphy = Spiller lol um no. Yeah I know. |

How did we ever pay so much money for a running back who only amassed 2,000yds rushing and 800yds receiving in two seasons.... |

The kid missed 7 games in 2014 and 1 the previous season. Do you guys not use Google?? |

Re: CJ Spiller
Being injured and missing games are two different things. All I see is a guy sitting on the bench injured who apparently isn't always injured.
