Any number of reasons:

- waive to get to the practice squad
- waive not to guarantee salary
- waive in order to open up a spot for week 1.

There's no reason to think that Warren won't be back in the building in a week or less.

Why would the team need another receiver? Cooks, Colston, Sneed, and Jones are more than enough of a rotation to get the job done.

2:33pm The Saints are releasing Offensive Lineman Cyril Lemon, according to a league source. If he clears waivers, the Saints want him back for the practice squad.

Because Whilst I am very high on how Willie Snead has played so far, he is still unproven as is Seantavius Jones.

James Jones is a proven veteran receiver who played in an air it out system

Remember that Colston has issues staying healthy and catching recently for that matter

It only takes 2 hits and we have Seantavius Jones and Brandon Coleman starting at wide receiver for us......not something I'd want to see.

Dustin Hopkins was released. Strange considering he was ahead of Hocker all summer. Unless we're cutting both like we did last season.
