this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; At the start of pre-season I checked the week 1 lines, and this one was a 2.5 back then. Surprised oddsmakers didn't view our preseason and injury situation in a poorer light. In bettor's parlance, this is a sucker bet...

The Saints secondary makes Carson Palmer look like Peyton Manning in his 30's. He won't see this little pressure all season.

Michael Floyd is still recovering from breaking 3 fingers and Larry Fitzgerald isn't an elite receiver anymore. I think our secondary can handle them just fine. Carson Palmer is awful so I won't for a second worry about him.

Carson Palmer with time in the pocket can throw darts. Add John Brown at WR and he is a potential deep threat.
PRESSURE will be key. Palmer is no spring chicken w/ bad knees so disrupting his timing will be paramount on Sunday. |

Good thing they'll have a rookie starting at right tackle.

I cant believe the defense held fairly well, considering, and the OFFENSE sucked.
