NFLPAE Investigating Khiry Robinson incident

1 Attachment(s)
Pro Football Talk is reporting that Robinson was fined by the Saints following an altercation with an intern at Saints training camp. The Saints reported the incident to the league, but interviews were conducted without a representative of the NFLPA present.

Quote:

...the NFLPA is investigating the league’s handling of a Personal Conduct Policy interview with Saints running back Khiry Robinson following an off-field incident during training camp in West Virginia...
Quote:

But the league interviewed Robinson without a union representative present. The union now will explore how and why that happened.

God I miss the days when none of our players were getting into trouble.

This isn't really one of our players getting into trouble... It's the league getting into trouble.

Bull. If this is true it is one of our players getting ginto trouble. It's asinine that players of any team think they can treat people like crap.

I for one am really getting tired of so many players acting like a spoiled child:argue:

If you seriously think that this stuff is just happening now and not in the past you are living in la la land. The difference now than in the past is the media access and more importantly, the agenda and riff between the NFL and the NFLPA. These incidences that we hear about now is made into much bigger deals because both sides are always trying to get at one another.

Just like with Cam Jordan, nothing to see here.

What Mike says. I am an old fart and have been around sports for over 35 years. What they used to get away with only ten years ago was amazing. Chill the freak out. Geez!

Robinson was not arrested or charged for the incident, which arose from a dispute regarding the agreed fee to be paid by Robinson and another player to the intern for driving them from The Greenbrier to a local store so that they could get their phones fixed. The other player paid the fee; Robinson apparently declined because his phone wasn’t actually fixed
Wow, he may be a fine RB but this is F'ed up.

He didn't wanna pay for the ride because the store couldn't fix his phone?

Like a rock, only dumber.

And we didn't raise these other guys either and they were probably idiots when they got here. Let's stop acting like our players are so undisciplined nowadays compared to the past.

Agree, knuckleheads have been around forever in professional sports.

They just get more exposure today.

I guess its why I never understood the player worship.

I love the uniform, not some schmuck that happens to be wearing it this year.

I have 100 neighbors more classy than the majority of NFL athletes.

Sometimes, though, those neighbors are those athletes. Curtis Lofton was told by his neighbor, who my son coaches his boys in youth swimming, that my son had an autographed cheap Saints jersey that was ruined. Lofton gave one of his game jerseys to his neighbors autographed for my son.

I have some neighbors that are ****.

Just because it was happening twenty years ago and not getting reported by the Marcellus Wallace Network of Investigative Reporters jumping out of rice bowls to snap a picture of a brother doing no-good as it is today doesn't make the offence any less terrible...

These @$$holes like Cam Jordan need to unf**k themselves and square that bullsh*t away...

The players are treated like royalty by fans, their every need and desire taken care of, being the BMOC (big man on campus) everywhere. What's so surprising about them acting like spoiled children? As the cheating coach says. "It is what it is"

He was with an intern who is there to learn. See, he learned: don't give free rides! The way I see it, the intern owes Khiry! Of course if Khiry were a member of the Panthers we could blame it all on Cam Newton! He was driving home from Tampa and went through Atlanta on his way to Charlotte!!! There, got all 3 of them!!!

The difference is, 20 years ago nobody noticed, nobody knew and most didn't care. But today, if you get caught doing that crap, you are an idiot because you know the microscope is on you. And they do it anyway.
