I doubt he or McGlynn cleaned out their lockers.
Numbers game right now until we figure out who is healthy, and who might get claimed

Though Warren's strip-forced fumble was negated by Jean-Baptiste running out of bounds on a punt play, Pierre Warren had really started to show more of his play-making ability that somehow is not obvious to Saints coaches...

And I don't need to bring up that he seems to be the only Saints defender in five years that comes up with interceptions...

What like to know what the deal, issues Saints coaches have with him...

He was our very 1st cut, and 31 other teams passed on claiming him at NFL minimum salary.

After clearing waivers, all 32 teams passed on signing him to their practice squad.

Maybe he just isn't that good?

This ^^^^^^^that is my thinking as well. Payton could be trying to pad special teams. We know that the offense is set to click on all 8 cylinders while the defense is a question mark (at least for now).

Having a solid special teams can take you to the next level come playoffs.

Who is going to replace Graham's redzone protection is still a question mark.

IMO there are 2 options:

Option 1: Colston becomes Brees' new security blanket.

Option 2: The offensive line and Ingram become the league's newest nightmare.

Colston becomes a new security blanket?!? What was he all those years before Graham came along?! I think it's a role he knows well.

Don Jones Draft Profile

might remember he was one of the players fined for remarks about Michael Sam. But he under went sensitivity training at the Kyle Turley School of Political Correctness so all is good

Don Jones of Miami Dolphins apologizes, is fined for tweet reacting to Rams' selection of Michael Sam

Just because he was the first announced of the final cuts doesn't make him the worst of all the cuts. It doesn't matter what order they are announced, they all get cut in the same day. As for him going unclaimed, maybe other teams just don't want to cut anyone on their roster for a backup safety.

He's not a finished product, but the play-making ability is there. We also have a lot of injuries in our secondary. That makes cutting him particularly puzzling to me.

While he has a nose for the football, he does get himself out of position from time to time. As far as not getting picked up. we are a year down the line. There are likely newer prospects now in front. But I would not discount his being picked up somewhere down the line, maybe even sooner than later. We still ought to stash him on our practice squad.

He should eventually get picked up. He's young and has proven he can at least fill in adequately and make some plays.

I was surprised he was cut to start with, and equally surprised we didn't sign him to our practice squad.

Maybe he just made a ton of mistakes that we didn't see.

BTW: We just signed a street free agent safety, not named Pierre Warren, to our 53 man roster.

I don't get it.
