Saints Resign S Kenny Philips
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; How is the best safety from last year and this preseason, being the only one to EVER make a play, P. Warren, not on the team? Phillips deserved to be cut and in no way makes the team better....

And Pierre Warren may also be re-signed at some point. Kenny is a SS that can play FS equally well. Pierre Warren is a pure center field FS. |

Its always been about him being healthy. If we can get Phillips and Byrd at 100%, it might be our best safety tandem ever, or close to it. |

I agree...and he also seemed to know the scheme better than those who have been here. He knew where to be and like you said is versatile to play either FS or SS. I honestly feel like the defense just got a little better.
