I wanted Payton gone last season.

The start to this year has just solidified that view.

We need to start from scratch, I'm talking about head coach, QB...everything!

It's obvious that Payton's coaching and the dubious decisions by Loomis has crippled this team. It's time to rebuild.

25 new players on is rebuilding. Like it or not thats who we are atm.
Loomis nor Payton can build a defense but I'm not ready to call for thier heads just yet.

Why do we have such a hard time "rebuilding" huh? Maybe because we draft horribly and hand out giant contracts in free agency willy nilly. We're forced to rebuild because of Mickey's awful decisions and Payton isn't good enough anymore to mold this clay into a masterpiece.

I just think sean has lost the team. It happened to Andy reid in Philly after all that success he had. Same thing, he lost the team. I think sean will go somewhere else and be successful, but I think he's done here

The defense isn't the problem and as long as payton is calling plays and Brees is throwing the ball this will be a avg team at best, but most likely bottom of the league.

The offense has been our downfall for a while now

Remember last year 7 points vs falcons and 10 points vs Bengals, both in the dome!!!

The offense is killing us, SP is in charge of that.

I feel that Brees should be traded at the end of this year, if we are lucky we could get a first for him.

I am fully on the SP must go bandwagon. Brees is still a top 5 qb but can not do it with no WR's and no running game. The o-line almost ended Drew's career today. The guy got smashed. Drew needs to ride out this contract and retire a Saint(if he is still alive at the end of next season).

I'm not a licensed psychotherapist but I watched Sean's body language throughout the game today and I don't see the fire anymore. We have a severe coaching shortfall at all levels and positions (especially special teams). I see a badly coached, poorly disciplined football team right now. At times, it's a bad product to watch on tv.

If anyone is fired this year, I think it's the Big Lebowski (Rob Ryan) but Sean Payton's job is far from safe.

We kind of are starting from scratch. Believe it or not we have young pieces in place for a very good defense down the road. It came as a sacrafice to the offense but the D will be good. Next year they will reload on O. I think they planned this as a rebuilding year all along. Brees simply has no weapons besides Cooks he can trust. Ingram is running with heart and getting at least some yards when the box is stacked and there is no where to go. We just need receivers.
I said from day 1 that not having a replacement for Graham was a mistake. I dont think the trade was a mistake, I think not having someone as a clear threat to replace him was a mistake.

Saw the same exact thing. I saw a man who looked defeated. My belief is he will go on and be successful somewhere else, but I think he has lost the team

Not as preposterous as it seems.
Play calling today was so predictable it was scary. We should have agreed pregame to start every drive at 2nd and 9.
Not sure if Brees was hurt, but from my seat he looked like sh**

Thought at one point we were going to pull this one out of the bag but it wasn't to be!

Falcons and Panthers won their games just to rub salt into the wound and that leaves us rock bottom of the division.

Oh! and we are at the Panthers next game!

Well we still have 14 games to turn this around. I'm not giving up on the team after only 2 games but I have to admit its not looking too good for us at the moment.

If you really, honestly think about it we have been on the decline since the super bowl win. I wasn't willing to recognize that till this season. This team has been trashed by Loomis & Payton. There's no fire in their belly. It is sickening what they have become and I don't see much hope for the remainder of the season.

2010 and 2011 were pretty good years.

2011 was arguably the best team we have fielded but got unlucky in the loss to San fran.

We have been in decline since Greg Williams left. He inspired the D to play lights out no matter the score. Our offense has sucked since Payton started to call plays.

I can't believe the selective memory of some people - Gregg Williams was terrible as the DC and got very lucky with the 2009 defense with all of the turnovers, mainly from Sharper.

Can't you remember all the stupid defensive calls he made?!


I wanted Cremel after Spags, but it's hard to say if he could've done any better overall than Ryan has with the defensive roster the Saints have had.

Yeah Gregg started the decline of our defense, and Spagnuolo just didn't have a clue what to do with our players. I was one who wanted Spags, but it didn't work, obviously.

I was so sick of Gregg's one trick pony defense. No imagination, and no ability to adjust.

It's all on the bad drafts we have had in the past. We have no depth and have to pay high priced FA's to try and be competitive. It's all on the drafts. :brood:

I'll focus on positional coaches. Next season bring Packers O-line coach. Guy is doing masterful job.
