A sudden turn of events could help us
Two of our next three games are against a team who just lost their star QB for a while on top of their receiver and a mediocre running game and the other against a offense who is playing pathetic right now. The defense is good however. I think we will beat Weeden week 4. But can our defense outplay Philly's week 5? We could possibly be 2-3 going into the clowns game.
And speaking of.....I hate saying it but they might end up with HFA if we do not beat them. I see them losing to Carolina so far only outside of us. And maybe against Indy. Thats where the Romo injury is bad, because I already had Dallas losing to us, but not to Atlanta. |

Season is over with big dog. Robert Nkemdiche is going to look nice in the black and gold. Hoping for one hell of an offseason.

Re: A sudden turn of events could help us
Some of you may have seen the stat that 11% of teams that start 0-2 make the playoffs...
Things can certainly get turned around... We have three (3) highly regarded defenders still out with injury: CB Keenan Lewis FS Jairus Byrd LB Dannell Ellerbe Though limited, there were decent appearances made with two offensive weapons: WR Marques Colston RB C.J. Spiller We have yet to utilize some of our new additions from scrimmage: RB Marcus Murphy OL Andrus Peat And we had some young players show significant improvement and adjustment to the pro game... LB Stephone Anthony CB Damian Swann DL Bobby Richardson However, it seemed we were too slow at several positions for the younger Bucs... OT Zach Strief OG Jahri Evans DL Cam Jordan CB Brandon Browner This season is going down fast and for it to be saved, Payton is going to need to reverse course on a couple of things... He's got to get Marcus Murphy involved until CJ Spiller is up to speed... He's got to face reality that Mark Ingram is a solid, short yardage back and was no where near worth his draft status, contract extension and should quit forcing him on plays he's not finding success... He's got to get Kasim Edebali on the field as a complement to Hau'oli Kikaha, even if that means finally installing the 3-4 base defense... He's got to realize what the Patriots already knew, CB Brandon Browner is only good in a specific role in the Seattle secondary and is another busted signing for he and Loomis and should bench him and allow one of his newer, younger acquisitions to develop... He's got to get rid of some of these assistants who are incapable of developing, coaching talent like Joe Vitt, Greg McMahon, Bill Johnson... However, the odds are long and Payton seems to be in a stubborn place right now... I'm equally stubborn and still want him over any other head coach in the league... |

Yep JP, we can't use lack of talent as an excuse. Every team has a few sub-par role players on their team. We're no different.
Its like a guy who can hit 300 yards drives straight down the middle on the range all day long, but when he tees it up for real he's all over the place. We're that guy. |
