Look at the records 2 years prior to the Superbowl Win when we were ready to hang coach and Brees. See anything familiar to last years record and the start of this one? Yes you do! I say give Brees and Payton a little more time. Payton is a great coach and knows what he's doing and as far as firing Loomis, he seems to pull a rabbit out of the hat every year to keep us going. Screw dead money, win football games and that's meaningless. GEAUX SAINTS! WHO DAT YA'LL? |

Loomis pushes salary back every year to avoid the problem. We missed the playoffs last year, and we look really bad right now. I don't think he's pulling any rabbit's out of the hat.
We made the playoffs a few times under Mora, when we had NEVER done so before. That all came crashing down. So it isn't that I, or we, don't remember where we came from... We just need to recognize where we are going. Things need to change, or it will only get worse. I don't know if firing everyone right now is the answer, but if this continues much longer you have to at least consider it. The concern for me, is we already went through a rebuilding process. It's one thing to have to retool every now and then, but to have to almost start completely over is ridiculous, in my opinion. |
