B&G rules

I remember the days long ago at another site when the Saints season would be on the brink of utter disaster and the bandwagon fan crap started.

So nice to be here where the average maturity of fans far exceeds an 8 year old.

As sucky as this season seems to be going, we're all still here - good or bad - and can disagree amongst ourselves without that bandwagon fan name calling nonsense.

Your cat pics are pure gold! Each one equals one step away from the ledge...

Too much to type with how I feel about the season so far; so I'll skip that and say this: "Come hell or high water, I am a Saints fan til death.".

Thank you. That is all.

Yep. Always a Die Hard Saints fan, just some years my alcohol consumption goes through the roof. And as far as the cat pictures go, some days I have to clean my monitor from coffee splatter.

Re: B&G rules

my mininum requirements has always been simple

win at home against the falcons

1-17 stinks but at least i have that

swept by the falcons is the worse thing that could happen

16-2 and being swept wont cut it

simple. 1 game and one game only, Falcons at home is the must win. to split the series is just ok even if it is the away game.

SFFL! But, I can see a round of golf on a Sunday afternoon or two in the future. If it wasn't for being a Saints Fan For Life, I really wouldn't watch alot of NFL football. This is from someone who's had the NFL Sunday Ticket for the last 18 years.

Agree 110%.

Without the Saints, the NFL has the appeal of MLB to me - maybe watch some of the playoffs and a little of the big dance (if I can stand either team). Other than that I'd be spending my Sundays doing something else...

Its just football. In the grand scheme of things it really isnt that important. I think the most important thing about it is the comaradary it brings. This board is a testamant of that

I will say, losing is not nearly as painful after seeing them win the SB and a large bag of PO games. Before that, Mondays felt like my dog died only to see him reappear Sunday to die again.

I guess we will start to see the Jumpers if we don't get this turned around.
It's okay just like Motel 6 "We'll leave the light on for you"

I am a Saints fan - whether they win or lose. Pointing out that I don't think this season is going to be thrilling -- is not hopping off the bandwagon. I doubt any of the faithful here think this season is going to make us proud --but OF COURSE there is always a chance. Miracles do happen. Just not all that often and the odds are worse when the facts don't bode well ( even if it is because it is hard for the players to believe in the team after 5-7 straight losses.

All that being said: :bng:

I read more than I post here but have been a member for 5+ years. I must say that the football knowledge and maturity on this site far exceeds any other fan site I have seen. This is the place to be and my seat on the bandwagon is permanent. WHODAT!!!

Re: B&G rules

As a Saint fan since '67, when my age was in single digits, I've had a seat on the wagon. I've read other forums, but B&G is the only one that I joined and actually donate a few dollars to help keep the servers running. That is because even though I know less than anyone one here about footballs finer points, I learn a little by reading a well articulated debate and/ or post. I'll continue to root for the Saints, support the site, laugh at the funny stuff and perhaps one day know enough to contribute something of substance to the conversations.

I was working with an employee of mine who doesn't follow football at all when my wife called me to tell me Brees was hurt. When I hung up he was like "omg what's wrong" I explained it about a quarterback and all and he had a puzzled look on his face. He said "damn dude I thought something really bad happened" I guess my reaction kind of wigged him.

Re: B&G rules

Being Saint fans we all have been through this. Brees will play out his contact and GG will take over. It will free up cap room and hopefully we can find the right pieces. This year and next year are for rebuilding. Watch out 2017!
