Grayson should Start this week
Why don't they start Grayson this week? Its pretty obvious that Brees is coming to the end of the road in the next few years. Luke has and always will be a backup Qb history has told us that already. Wouldn't it make more sense to find out if Grayson has the chops to be the answer in the future by giving him the chance to show what he can do. I Rather find out Now About Grayson instead of three years down the road if he isn't the guy of the future. Why waste time money on him during this contract and the eventual next contract if he isn't the Qb of the future. If he isn't the guy then we must find out now so we can find the Qb of the future before Brees is finally really done or our rebuilt that we are starting to do is for not.

Re: Grayson should Start this week
At this point you have to whoever gives you the best chance to win. If Grayson gets a shot it will be due to us not being in the playoff hunt at all. Rught now we have a real shot at getting back to .500.

Re: Grayson should Start this week
I would like to see Grayson also. Brady did it why not Grayson. If Brees is out more than a game or 2 and Grayson gets hot it's not a bad thing.

Re: Grayson should Start this week
It might not be the right time to throw the rookie in just yet, but if the Saints continue to struggle and Brees is still out... then it'll be a different call.

Re: Grayson should Start this week
Agreed if SP knows that Brees will be out long-term then maybe Grayson gets the nod. But against a 2-0 Division rival don't think Coach is willing to roll that dice.

Re: Grayson should Start this week
Grayson is in no way close to ready for regular season NFL. Especially the way the line played last week and considering Evans is out. Its the 3rd game in the season, we are in no way close to done. We still have a chance to win 14 games and wind up 14-2 (im not saying I think we will, I am just talking statistically). Even if its slim you go with the players that put you in the best position to win. If we go 6-0 then maybe its time to go with Grayson. When we put Grayson in that means we have given up on the season and are looking to next year. Its way to early to give up. If our division is half as bad as it was last year then we could be just fine.

Absolutely not.
I would have rather see Griffin start. |

Re: Grayson should Start this week
Throwing Grayson into the starting job would be a terrible idea....

If we end up out of it in the final 3 or 4 weeks I could see him getting his feet wet. But now is a bit too soon. |
Re: Grayson should Start this week
YES! I agree completely!!!!!!!! Lets start our rd 3 pick with no wr's or running game. That would make sense!

Re: Grayson should Start this week
Hopefully Grayson got a lot of reps this week. No reason to throw in the towel yet, but obviously long term he is the answer and LM is not.
in the meantime: WILDCAT! Robinson, Spillar and Ingram 20 carries each |
Re: Grayson should Start this week
I do not believe Grayson is close to being ready yet. With that said, he may not be ready for a couple more years. Starting McCown is the right decision, gives the Saints their best chance at winning now. Plus, the Saints will get an opportunity to figure out if McCown is the immediate future or not. What I mean by that is if for some reason Brees isn't back after this year, the Saints may need a veteran QB to start for a year or two while a young guy is being groomed.

Re: Grayson should Start this week
He is 9 months out from playing college ball in the Mountain West Conference. There is no way he is ready to take on last year's division champs in an NFL road game with a shaky O line in front of him.

Re: Grayson should Start this week
I just don't think there is really that much more upside to starting Luke than there is starting the kid. Does Luke really give you that much more of a chance than Greyson I'm sorry but I don't buy it. Greyson hasn't played with anyone other than guys that were never gonna make the team in the preseason.
All of you guys that are saying that the season isn't over yet well your right but if we lose this game then it pretty much is be honest with yourself there gonna be 3 games behind the division leader and nothing heading in the positive direction. Lets just be honest By the way Im not gonna sit here and think that Greyson would come in and be the next Tom Brady or even Matt Cassel. I'm just wanna see what the kid can do with the chance if he was given it. Luke has had several chances to play in this league and has failed with all of them. Who knows the kid may surprise everyone but if he never gets a chance he won't |
Re: Grayson should Start this week
I hate to say it but Puke McClown gives us the best chance to win today

Re: Grayson should Start this week
Well all of you who are looking to see Grayson play may get your wish.
If McCown get's hurt today Grayson is in. Remember Griffin has gone to the Bucs. |
