If Dalton loses again this post season, Cincinatti is the perfect team. He will have a great top receiver, two decent number 2 receivers, and a good tightend. He will also have a explosive running attack and be surrounded by a defense full of playmakers.

The other team if Peyton Manning retires is Denver. But Denver has a okay offensive line, but their defensive line is fantastic. Is Brees better in that broncos offense right now than Manning though?

I would not want him going to a team with Brady and Manning in his division as he is destined to lose in those. As well as Luck. He has to go to Cincinatti, Baltimore, or Denver in the AFC.

In the NFC, he could take over for Palmer in Arizona, but thats all I see. Minnesota is probably staying with TB. Detroit has Stafford. I don't think Brees fits Chicago. The redskins need better protection. The eagles need protection. NO to St.Louis and SF!


It's not that Brees is too old for the saints its that we are burnt out and need a new a fresh face.

Brees's contract make him all but untradeable. A team would have to be able to absorb his contract under the cap. So the prorated amount of his 20 million would have to fit under whoever's cap he was traded to. Most teams have not carried that much space into the season.

The you better hope like hell Matt Ryan never gets 1, let alone 2. That will hurt Brees' legacy. It meant Ryan had a better career than Brees and would prove all the naysayers right that Ryan overtook Brees.

I don't agree with that. Ryan has none of the statistical accomplishments that Brees have. Winning a superbowl is about so much more than just having a good QB. I cringe avery time people bring that up when talking about who is the better QB. Like Trent Dilfer would be a better QB than Dan Marino just because he have a ring.

I think you compare Matt Ryan with QBs more on the level of Matt Stafford (DET) than Drew Brees ... you get a good game/season out of them now & again, but they'll never quite get you to the promised land, #shrug.

If you watched the first half of DAL/ATL yesterday, Skid-Britches had the same ol' deer-in-the-headlights look in his eyes that he gets whenever he feels the game getting out of reach. I don't think they come back in the second half without Sean Lee (DAL) going down with injury, honestly.

I kind of agree with this, in a weird way, because it is selfless as fans.
We might be holding him back on a bad team with a useless defense.

Brees deserves another ring and a team he can do that on.

Redskins - nothing great
Cowboys - lost Romo
eagles - Bradfords ok not elite

very weak division with no great QB, but the D and weapons. Easy to win division for Brees and decent OL , like cowgirls.

Bills he could face Brady, not a bad team
Pitts lost BR they would get their season back
Vikings just need a good QB

The thing is Brees is elite, so he can do better on all these teams. Good possibility we have held him back , and are still holding him back from getting rings.

Because of his contract Brees holds the cards. No way he's going anywhere but West or Texas.

I have been a fan since 1967 and have seen the total lack of leadership at QB barring the stint by Archie. I'll take Brees as long as he is able to play over any unknown. Any day.

The subject of this thread is puzzling at best, idiotic at least. Why trade a QB to give someone else a ring? Doesn't that indicate he still has the ability? I want the best QB we can have RIGHT NOW under center. I don't give no flying rats ass about next year. Fans that wish for the future do that for a living. ***** about the now and never realize the future.

Who is going to want him if hes injured? Thats what people dont get. He will not be worth much more than a conditional pick unless he can show that he can still perform. Nobody is going to trade a early draft pick on a QB who may or may not even be able to play next year. And why the hell would any of us care how many rings Ryan gets in relation to Brees? We already got ours. If he goes on to get another ring with someone else what the hell do we care? I wish the guy the best and all but im not going to "hope like hell".

Idiotic? We'll see what happens when he's healthy and if he can win when it matters. He does not have the receivers or the defense. And when a player hears for so long he's washed up, he' done, he's not the same, he'll eventually believe it and play like it. The only thing that cures a bad habit is a drastic change. Do you want us to hear the same bullcrap this offseason? Seattle had people writing the trophy for them in the 2013 offseason. NE as well when they signed Revis and Browner. The teams that have won SBs recently have gotten positive offseason buzz. If we don't do something this offseason to make the media drool at us, people will still believe we suck. We are at a age today where perception is everything. People want validation.

So I notice when we start losing the football IQ of the boards in general starts to show, and it isn't good. You trade Brees to the highest bidder if the decision is made to let him go. I'm assuming we're all SAINTS fans, and I love Brees for what he's done like everybody else, but I want what's best for the SAINTS to get rings. Whether Brees is involved in that makes no difference.

Validation? How are we going to get validation by return to the QB quagmire? I don't give a rat's ass about "offseason buzz". I really don't give a crap to have media person's slobber on my team's outlook. No, certain people "need" perception and validation for their own personal self-satisfaction.
