0-3 Teams to Make Playoffs
 

Reason for pessimism:
It's happened 5 times in the NFL.

Not once since 1998.

The Saints' best finish after 0-3 was 8-8.

Reason for optimism:
What's different about this year to me is that we'll be getting our key starters back in 2 weeks.

We've only played 2 division games.

Everything is still in our control.

Atlanta is good with one of the most dynamic players in the game in Jones.
Carolina is good with one of the most dynamic QB's in the league in Newton.
Both are 3-0.
Atlanta has bought in with their new coach.
Carolina has a good fundamentally sound old school type coach.
The Saints have no play makers on either side of the ball.
I just hope the Saints remain competitive with no serious injuries.

If Ryan finds a way to create a pass rush somehow I could see it but right now, no.

Playoffs ?!?! Playoffs !?!? Lol remember last year when everything was in our control to win the division.... Yeah how did that turn out...

We want be in the playoffs this season,we'll be lucky to win 5 games this season. This team reminds me of the Washinton Redskins just without all the drama.

Atlanta is rolling, and unless someone gets hurt, it's hard to imagine them falling off. They are beating teams on the road, and Jones is in total Beast Mode. Carolina is over-rated, they are not that good.
We could go on a run, and I hope we do, but even wildcard would be reaching currently, IMO.

I'm not even thinking playoffs right now. I just want to see improvement. Right now our team is so sporadic and underwelming that I'm not looking past the next game.

Look I know it has been kinda forgotten with all the hubub over Drew's injury and Rob Ryan's struggles and all....but think back to just a couple of weeks ago, you had an "incident" investigated by local law enforcement, where you allegedly had "as many as ten" Saints players in the club at 4:30 AM. That's 20% of the roster, and people wonder why the team looks flat, listless, is getting dumb penalties and suffering from stalled drives, and getting out-physicalled by every team they face? You had guys arrested for DUI, not just drunk but passed out cold behind the wheel in their cars....you had guys traded for ego problems or locker room disruptions, guys kicked clear off the team for ridiculous beach brawls and goodness knows what else. And you have a D coordinator who double-fists it at Miss Mae's on a semi-regular basis....

It's a simple fact. Ain't nobody ever won an NFL Championship by partying in the club at 4 AM....that's all you need to know about this team, and this season, right there. You party AFTER the season is over, AFTER you win the championship, not before it even starts.

Seems fitting though. Let's just get a win before we dream about playoffs.
