Eagles Next
Cowboys are history time to move on to the 1-3 Eagles. An afternoon visit with our old friends Sproles and Jenkins. A couple INT's of Sam Bradford and stifle DeMarco Murray. The Eagles are imploding and we can add to Chip Kelly's delusional problems.
|
Re: Eagles Next
I think we all know what Chip's problem is. He traded a white QB for a white QB. Then, he traded a black RB and signed two black RB's to go along with Darren Sproles, who coincidentally is also black.
Clearly he's a racist and is being punished. Go Saints. |
Re: Eagles Next
Eagles O line is worse than ours. Their QB is inconsistent. The defense gets gassed and allows 21pts per game.
That said, we'll have our hands full with a wounded animal backed into a corner in it's own home. |
Re: Eagles Next
I agree. Though I feel much better after a hard fought win last week, I know this isn't going to be an easy one either. They have a great set of RBs.
|
Re: Eagles Next
Need to blanket Sproles before he torches us.
|
Re: Eagles Next
Thing we have in common. Their O-line is garbage. No pressure on Bradford -> we don't deserve to win.
They do have very good front seven. Secondary is undisciplined, poor coached. Give Drew decent protection and he will carve them up. Otherwise they will win comfortably. |
Re: Eagles Next
And please, give Browner some safety help! They have great deep threats.
|
Re: Eagles Next
A couple of weeks ago there was adebate of whether the Saints or Eagles were the NFL's worst team.
No matter. Every win must be earned. On any given Sunday. Please Saints put up a defense. |

Re: Eagles Next
We have a tendency to make bad teams look like playoff contenders. This will be a hard game for us and if the defense plays like they did against Dallas, it will be real hard to pull the win. As bad as Bradford is, if we continue to get no pressure, he will look like a pro-bowler.
|
Re: Eagles Next
Keep Drew clean and we've as good a chance as anyone to beat the Iggles.
But if Drew is running for his life we're done. This one is all on the O-Line if you ask me (and nobody has). |
Re: Eagles Next
Hit Bradford. Game over.
|
Re: Eagles Next
For Gods sake keep Drew upright and not running for his life.
|
Re: Eagles Next
I'm hoping to see a lot more of CJ Spiller, Willie Snead, and Josh Hill. Spiller is the ex factor for us. Snead is the new Lance Moore.
|
Re: Eagles Next
Don't let Sproles or Jenkins make game changing plays.
|
Re: Eagles Next
ok this is the game to make some solid strides on both sides of the ball and get focused. falcons are next and we need this win, lets not make the final drive the winning drive and lets see if the saints can stop anyone in their two minute drill.
OL needs to step up, open up holes and protect Drew better Rob needs to stay away from freaking zone in the final two minutes of the either half. idiot |
Re: Eagles Next
We are catching them at the right time.
They've gone from NFC fav with GB down to a team that lost to the Redskins. Get up early, and make some plays to slow down the offense |

They rank 29th in yards per play. 31st - rush yards per play. 24th pass yards per play. 29th 1st downs per game. 31st 3rd down pct. This would be a good weekend for the Saints to get their mojo going. |
Re: Eagles Next
There is an opportunity here.
Living in the area I listen to the 2 Philly sports talk stations and the doubters (including grumbling from some players, like Murray) are not feeling Kelly's coaching. Things to capitalize on: 1) The Eagles O line is a shambles. Pass protection is shoddy at best and they have not been able to open up the holes for a rushing attack. That leaves them heavily reliant on Bradford to get rid of the ball quickly. Our D could have a BIG day if they can get pressure. 2) The Eagles secondary is HIGHLY suspect. They paid big $$ for Maxwell who doesn't appear to be anything close to shut down in coverage. Can we PLEASE see some deep passes? 3) Their D against the rush is currently 20th, but every team has had success pounding the rock. Give it to Ingram and Spiller and let them grind them up! 4) Their WR's are weak. Their top receiver Jordan Matthews is rangy but a work in progress. Round them out with Riley Cooper (slow with suspect hands) and an aging Miles Austin and I believe our now healthy secondary can keep them out of play. The key to most of this is whether our O line can keep Drew upright with time to spare in the pocket. If they give him a little more time than they did against Dallas, this is a winnable away game! On a personal side note: PLEASE SHUT THESE IGGLES FANS UP!!!!! If they win, it's going to be a loooong week for me in Eagle Hell! :-) GEAUX SAINTS!!!!! |

This will be our challenge. We have to make them beat us throwing the ball. If we let Murray get his grove back (in week 5) we are in trouble. This can NOT be his break-out week. |
Re: Eagles Next
I have to disagree on WRs. They also have Agholor who is great young player. Problem is shaky QB play.

Bradford threw for 3 TD's and 307 yds with no TO's last week. He is legit. |
Re: Eagles Next
I am concerned about a couple of things. I am scared of a team that looks as dysfunctional as they do. We might be the nut this blind squirrel stumbles across.
I am scared of their front 7. They have a lot of playmakers and pass rushers and Streif, Lelito and nicked up Armstead concern me in pass protection. They are also relatively adept at covering the short passing game and being disruptive. I would feel much more confident with a downfield passing attack but Brees' shoulder limits that option. And of course Sproles and Matthews and limiting them. I think this is a week we get alot of QB pressure and maybe force an INT but as said, they are a wounded animal backed in a corner with alot of quality veterans that don't like being embarrassed. We will see. |

I'm more concerned if they start using Ryan Matthews and Sproles. They will cause us problems in space. |
Re: Eagles Next

Agholor is ready. 1st round talent, not project. Lack of rec is due to poor O-line which affects Bradford perfomance. |
Re: Eagles Next
Agholor may have a break out, but it's doubtful. He has speed aplenty, but he tends to have too many drops. Sometimes, a first rounder does not equal NFL ready talent. I just hope he doesn't break form for this game! LOL

One thing is for sure, I don't want to see Browner 1 on 1 vs Agholor. |

Also, now that it appears that Peyton will take is new CJ toy out to play, things may start to get more exciting.....so long as our O line can do their job. |
Re: Eagles Next
Against Philadelphia
Matthews so far is not looking that good, Marshall, Garcon, TWill, and Jones number 1 wideouts have all scored on him this season. This is Cooks chance to show that. However, this is probably the game Snead needs to get looks. In a road game like this Coleman does not have the mentality to stay focused in this game and Colston has lost crucial games. We need Snead! Can't throw to Watson either as eagles stop TEs. Now for the running game, I'm concerned here. Ingram and Robinson are inconsistent. Ingram might have problems here because we have no passing game for them to focus on. We need Spiller involved ALOT. We might also have to call a lot of screens but not east west screens(that will be bad), but slot screens, like Spiller gets to run before making a catch. The run defense has gotten better but this is three RBs we are dealing with. They will not shy away from the run no matter what. Bradford is not targeting Agholor enough and chances are Lewis will be guarding him anyway. I am not afraid of Josh Huff or Riley Cooper. Swann or Breaux need to contain Matthews. Then there is Ertz. I am expecting Sproles to do well and Matthews or Murray. The key is stopping Matthews and Ertz. And Hocker better be getting ready for this because he will be attempting at least three field goals. |
Re: Eagles Next
Philadelphia has yet to allow a touchdown to an opposing running back, on the ground or in the air.
|
Re: Eagles Next
lets hope for another snot knocker
Sorry but that will always be a key to the game. Nothing wrong with a clean hit leaving a a player blowing snot bubbles on the turf wonder were his car keys are. So here's to turning the phili starting line up into spectators early and often. |
Re: Eagles Next
I'm not really scared of this Eagles team... If we don't kill ourselves with penalties we can win this game... Chip Kelly has that team all messed up...
|
Re: Eagles Next
Ryan better let Kikaha pin his ears back. And bring Vaccaro too.
|
Re: Eagles Next
If Sam the Sham is gonna make a comeback wait to after our game.
|
Re: Eagles Next
theyre d is banged up, we should be able to move the ball...we should be able to move the ball. Should...

Well they haven't really played anybody. Ivory didn't play week 3 and the redskins have three RBs battling for carries. The falcons didn't play well week 1 running the ball but the oline may be why. Long might just have helped that improve(and Im ticked we never tried to sign him). And the cowboys, well, the playcalling is bad. |
