Saints sign offensive lineman Ryan Seymour
The Saints needed some line depth, so offered a chance to a guy coming off a suspension.
According to Evan Woodberry of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Saints have signed former Browns offensive lineman Ryan Seymour. Seymour has experience at both guard and center, and the Saints are thin there with Tim Lelito missing last week’s game with a shoulder injury. Seymour started three games for the Browns last year, but they cut him in August after he was suspended four games for violating the league’s PED policy. He said he did not “knowingly” ingest a banned substance, which isn’t really a defense at all. The Bears brought him into the practice squad a week ago, but cut him. Well, the Peat injury is a reality, so we need a body.
Mauti would have been a cut candidate, but looks like he has secured employment for now. This would be real easy if Morstead is ready and they could cut Fields |
Re: Saints sign offensive lineman Ryan Seymour
I'll take a player coming off suspension rather then a vet who should have retired two years ago any day of the week!

Re: Saints sign offensive lineman Ryan Seymour
Ryan Seymour not a bad move. 2013 I was liking the kid in the late rounds.
Utility OL OT/OG in college and now added OC? 6041 301 coming out of college. not the biggest guy but he did put up 30 reps at 225. 5.14 40? Anytime a 300lb man can flirt with 5.0 in the 40 he gets my attention enough to look at his 10 split of 1.69 and wonder Now a short shuttle 4.59 and cones at 7.53 aint too tooo shabby at all. It is pretty dam impressive. Actually that is pretty dam good 300 lb man Athleticism and versatility. check Add to that he is Vandy honor roll smart. check Appeared in 11 games during the 2014 season, starting three at center. check Always need a player like this on your team. lets see if he can fill the roll. I like the move |
