Saints sign speedy WR TJ Graham
 

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Saints have signed WR T.J. Graham to a contract on Tuesday.


The Saints tried out five players on Monday including OL Ryan Seymour, S Akeem Davis, G David Arkin, CB Robert McClain and Graham. They’ve reported signed Seymour and Davis to contract.

Graham, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Bills back in 2012. However, he lasted just two years with the team before Buffalo placed him on waivers and later claimed by the Titans.

4.2 to 4.3 speed. Looks like a project that hasn't quite developed fully.

Actually went to highschool with TJ here in NC. He was a grade below me, and fast as hell. Also saw him dunk from the freethrow line as a junior.

Hasn't been able to do too much so far. Hopefully he can create some separation and then get some YAC.

I wonder if he was signed to push S Jones & Coleman?

Anyone remember Saalim Hakim? Blazing fast but was a poor route runner while in NO. Hopefully TJ works out ;).

He really honed his route running skills in the later years and became a short/intermediate threat when his hands improved tremendously.

He was just really fast coming out but he developed into a good receiver for us after a slow start.

Lets see what a fresh start does for him.

As much as we suck, a deep threat (even if he has only avg. hands) would make all the difference in the world.

Bear in mind, Drew's also getting about 10 days off the shoulder. : )

We get good players from the bills and they come here and underacheive. We sign underacheiving players from the bills and they explode, maybe thats how it will work. We are about due for something to pan out involving that team.

I miss Lance Moore too. I heard something about him during a game a couple weeks back. Seemed like he might still be doing well. We dont need his type of receiver but I miss him non the less

We have speed.

What we don't have is Anquan Boldin or Steve Smith.

Either of those would make Drew's life much easier.

Speed does not make a great WR. You need perfect eyes, great hands, excellent balance, supreme coordination and a brain. If you are missing just one of any of these things, you will be very average. Higheth helps but doesn't prove anything. :drink:

Those guys you mentioned are as tough as nails however I think we have a very young promising product in Slick Willie Snead. Kid reminds me of Hines Ward.
