Terron Armstead, Marques Colston, Tim Lelito, Damian Swann, Thomas Morstead participate in Saints practice
The New Orleans Saints may be much healthier after the long weekend earned by playing on Thursday last week.
Left tackle Terron Armstead (knee), wide receiver Marques Colston (shoulder), left guard Tim Lelito (shoulder), cornerback Damian Swann (concussion) and punter Thomas Morstead (right quadricep) all participated in the portion of practice open to the media. Cornerback Keenan Lewis, who saw a specialist about his hip injury earlier this week, and rookie tackle Andrus Peat, who will reportedly miss four weeks with an MCL sprain, were both not present at practice. Lewis, who underwent surgery on the hip during the preseason and missed the first three games, has been on a limited snap count ever since returning. The veteran corner is averaging just 17 snaps per game in the three games he’s played. Good we need all of them back.

We played better without Colston, we don't need his drive killing drops every week.

I'm excited about Swann with Lewis missing time.

Saints LT Terron Armstead (knee) said he plans to play Sunday against the Colts.
He's ready to go after missing the last two weeks with a knee injury. Armstead's return comes just in time with fill-in Andrus Peat battling an MCL injury. Oct 22 - 4:37 PM Source: Evan Woodbery on Twitter |

This is bull crap. Fire Payton, fire Rob, trade Brees, seasons over. Gut the whole team and start over.

Good. They can use the practice.
Those 5 and about 48 others. |
Re: Terron Armstead, Marques Colston, Tim Lelito, Damian Swann, Thomas Morstead participate in Saints practice
This is going to sound terrible but I was not happy to see Colston on the list of practicing players. It really is nothing personal but they need to start phasing Colston out the offense.
He never was a guy with blazing speed so his ability to gain separation was minimal. However, he was always great at making tough and/or contested catches, particularly over the middle. Now, he's slower than he's ever been and drops even basic catches. |

You guys kill me with all the Colston bashing. I've watched every f***ing player we have drop balls this year but all you hear is the bashing of Colston.
He's still the only receiver we have that will make the tough catches over the middle. |

It just sucks that he is no longer the player he once was. He will always be remembered (at least in my book) as one of the greatest Saints ever :bng:. |
Re: Terron Armstead, Marques Colston, Tim Lelito, Damian Swann, Thomas Morstead participate in Saints practice
Colston seems to have been injured all season.
If his injuries are preventing top shelf play, then he should re-coup and heal, then come back. It's hard to watch of late after having seen his dynamics. It was never speed or quickness but tenacity; making the tough catches in traffic and taking the licks; and he has taken a LOT of licks. Over the years he got stretched out and laid open more than any other receiver we had. It just seems to have taken it's toll. |

I'm having a hard time thinking Colston is done. I love the guy. I may be in denial over this one. I might be wrong but I'm expecting a turnaround for the good from him. I'll admit he hasn't looked good and has dropped catchable balls alot more than usual but I just got a feeling he's going to catch fire one more time. I do think in reality we need to look at a big body WR in the draft. We passed on a few in the last 2 drafts (2nd-4th round)that could be paying big right now.

I truly believe that Colston would improve his game with an eye exam. Aging athletes lose their vision before they lose their skills quite often.
