The Saints won't have to face JPP this week!
In his 12 year career Manning is 2-3 against the Saints-with all three losses at the Superdome. http://blackandgold.com/saints/74921...eckham-jr.html |

I wonder if Eli's child hood dream it to throw the winning pass so the Saints can go back to the Superbowl and beat his older brother again? :D

These are the guys that have got to step up against the G'nats...
Brandin Cooks - Love the guy, but it was a mistake to move up and draft him, especially to be an X-receiver when he lacks the physical size to do so; nonetheless, the G'nats are banged up at CB; Payton needs to move Colston to the X-receiver (yeah, that bum lower leg/ankle/foot) will make it difficult for him to get off the line, but Cooks needs to operate out of the slot and get in space to be effective... John Jenkins - the G'nats are all about play-action passing; Jenkins has to lead the defensive shutting down the run, making the G'nats one-dimensional and allow the Saints to sit in zone and wait for the inevitable Eli mistake throwing into zone coverage as the pocket Manning trust collapses led by Jenkins; of course, the Saints have to capitalize as they did in the first half against the Colts... Drew Brees - Brees is only completing 37% of his pass attempts beyond fifteen yards this season; I'd expect to see some more of the roll-out design giving more time for our receivers to get downfield to open up the field for both the running game and C J Spiller on the wheel routes and underneath/middle field stuff; either way, Brees has got to start connecting downfield... Kenny Vaccaro - if ever there was a need for him to step up and exploit athletic mismatches - this is it...when the G'nats offense stalls they resort to dink & dunk to keep the team on the field and regain rhythm - this is when Vaccaro has to step in aggressively and create turnovers... |
