We can't put this all on losing Ellerbe
I think there was more to this game than just that. Giants have not looked that good against nobody this season and I think the reason is obvious:Eli used to be the only La native playing in the dome before 2012. But since then, OBJ has joined the team. We were playing against two players playing in their homestate(I think Randle is from here too idk he played for LSU). Had we had Ellerbe though we might have held them a couple less TDs but they were still gonna score with all of that aurora of being back home. I am just glad we pulled this out and won.

Ya know there are a number of potential story lines here. The LA native story line is a fair one.
I have another one: Giants v. Saints have often been high-scoring affairs or blowouts on one-side or the other. 2003 W New Orleans Saints New York Giants 45 7 2005 L New Orleans Saints New York Giants 10 27 2006 W New Orleans Saints @ New York Giants 30 7 2009 W New Orleans Saints New York Giants 48 27 2011 W New Orleans Saints New York Giants 49 24 2012 L New Orleans Saints @ New York Giants 27 52 2015 W New Orleans Saints New York Giants 52 49 I think that is worth mentioning. In the last decade the score has never been this close. |
