Baffling Mettenberger is even in the NFL

So you never watched LSU play? I ask because the way he played his last year was awesome. The only reason LSU went to any type of a bowl game was because he could sling the ball. It LSU had him this year they would beat half the pro teams. The kid has a cannon and I would love to see him learn behind Brees.

He had moments, but he was also throwing to Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham with one of the best running attacka and offensive lines in college football. Mettenberger was decent in college. If he was great, LSU would have won the championship easily.

I diagree. LSU had a ton of problems his Sr. year. When they lost in 2013 it was not because of him. He only had one bad game and that was against Bama where he only produced 17 points. The defense was not very goof that year. Seems like they gave up 30 points to everyone. He threw for 3100 yards, 22 tds and only 8 ints. Give LSU that this year and they walk away with the championship. He was a great college QB. Great pro? Nah, but he can be solid.

Dude, LSU's offense set all kinds of team records that year. It just so happened that for one of the few times, we had no defense at all. It doesn't matter how good your receivers are if you can't throw it. We had those same players with Jordan Jefferson and Jarret Lee, when we also still had Reuben Randle and we could not pass worth a crap. Why? Because our QB's sucked.
