Saints have easiest remaining schedule in NFC

Saints have easiest remaining schedule in NFC

Mike Triplett, ESPN Staff Writer

METAIRIE, La. -- The schedule never seems to matter too much to the New Orleans Saints, who are capable of beating anyone on their good days and falling to anyone on the bad days. (See: Week 2 loss to Tampa Bay, Week 6 victory against Atlanta among many other examples in recent years.)
But if the Saints (4-4) have truly turned the corner during this three-game winning streak, the second-half schedule should provide an opportunity to string some more wins together.

The Saints have the fourth easiest schedule remaining in the NFL -- and the easiest of any NFC team -- according to ESPN Stats and Information.

UPDATED: Football Outsiders ranks the Saints' remaining schedule as the easiest in the entire NFL based on their formula (requires Insider access).

New Orleans' final eight opponents have a combined winning percentage of .441.

Well for all those looking ahead here you go.

I guess we will find out how good we are or how much work we still have ahead of us.

Or we can accept this means nothing till after the game is played.

^THIS

But, ya never know ..... ya just never know ..... the Saints have been heartbreakers this season .... and also have been surprising. There is a real sense this season, as opposed to other seasons, that this team has decided to WIN.

It's my job, as a fan, to say it: And I actually think it is possible, so again, F-It, we win out.

I agree with "one game at a time"!!

There's no such thing as an "easy" game in the NFL!

Anything can happen!!!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!

The strength of schedule means nothing to a team who's defense struggles like ours. That leaves very little room for error regardless of how bad the other team is. Each game is it's own challenge.

My guess is it's a pant load better than having the hardest remaining schedule in the NFL

Ease of schedule is a good thing, especially with this box of chocolates.
We "CAN" beat any of the teams on our remaining schedule.
The right block with the right cut-back, coupled with
the right throw with the right catch, followed by the right tackle at the right time,
with none of the doo-doo creeping in to gum up the works.
That's the hard part: All the good stuff with none of the bad.
The schedule gives us added hope that we can prayerfully get lucky.

Our defense only struggled from the start last week. All the other weeks our defense played well until the offense kept tiring them out putting them back on the field. Allowing 21 points on the road to Indy is not bad. They scored 26 in Carolina. Brees and SP have to do their part to keep the defense fresh.

I'm not buying that one Will. We're 4th best in the NFL in time of possession.

not to mention that big plays against have gotten our defense off the field all too quickly and all too often

I don't agree. Let's play all of our games at once and take the rest of the season off. :p

While I feel confident that we will make it to the playoffs, I have trouble saying that the rest of our schedule is easy. I think that this week vs. the titans could be interesting, especially with their new coach, it could be a rough game for them, making us look better, but it also may be a tough one. Titans could want to back Mike Mularkey and prove that he knows what he is doing, its happened before with other teams. I think we need to take each game week by week. Looking back on last weeks game may lead to you to believe that we will win out right into playoffs, but I think its important to focus on improving regardless.
