Saints bring in some linebacker depth, sign James Anderson
The Saints have been banged up at linebacker, so they went and found some veteran help.
Via Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Saints have signed veteran linebacker James Anderson. Anderson’s a 10-year vet who began his career with the Panthers, so he’s a guy they’re familiar with. Anderson’s versatile enough to play multiple spots, which might help the Saints. They were without strongside linebacker Hau’oli Kikaha, weakside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, and backup Ramon Humber last week, leaving Michael Mauti and David Hawthorne to start against the Titans. Anderson has also played with the Bears, Patriots, Cowboys, Falcons and Titans. Saints bring in some linebacker depth, sign James Anderson | ProFootballTalk |
