I really did not see any of those hits for the most part as personal fowls. I saw them as investment protection penlites for the NFL profit margin.

On that one specific play, I thought Orakpo was gonna absolutely kill Brees.

It could have been a lot worse (see Andrew Luck).

And the offensive line didn't do a damn thing to stop it from happening again so that's why Brees took all those hits

I could be wrong, but I think Orakpo was coming from Armsteads side. However, I think Strief is going to be the one to get Brees "killed".

I'm talking about someone on the Saints offensive line going Turley on Orakpo or something toned down to let them know to knock it off

Brees is luck it was just stitches he needs...

Were I a general manager with a quarterback seeking a max contract, I'd show some of the hits Brees has taken since we were unable to afford to keep his protection intact due to his contract hit on the salary cap...

Not saying Brees isn't worth it, but seems others were able to work much friendlier contracts (i.e. Brady) in the interests of the team and made them more genuine to their teammates...

I would much rather let their defense get penalized for a personal foul than us. Those can be drive killers.

I do however, want to see some fire and decent protection from our O-line.
