Having those two guys back on the field again will be nice. Now if only we can get Browner OFF the field...

Jeff Ireland knows this guy is a player, we've got to find a way to get him healthy and keep him that way... |

I don't understand. The article says that he returned to practice. Then says "update" - that he never returned and was listed as out. Wtf?

If he could just stay healthy our LB'ers would be much improved. He's the real deal.

Yeah I've noticed a definite difference (for the better) when Ellerbe is on the field. He's a stud. Hope he can stay that way!!

Re: New Orleans Saints LB Dannell Ellerbe back at practice Wednesday
Kikaha, Anthony and Ellerbe have been playing their hearts out.
They haven't gotten any help. I hope they can stay healthy so we can build around them. Nice core in the middle. They need help in front of them and behind them. |

WLB- Ellerbe MLB- Anthony SLB- Kikaha CB1- Lewis CB2- Breaux FS- Byrd SS- Vacarro If we could finally see that mythical group of starters playing together then the weak link is definitely the D-Line. We need a pass rushing DT so desperately bad. How many of our defensive woes would be solved by a disruptive 3-Technique?! |

Hicks was supposed to be that 3-4 DE, 4-3 2-gapper that we really needed. His regression really hurt us this year. I truly thought he'd be that guy on the D-line. I was so wrong. Looked like Tarzan, played like Jane. Also, losing Glenn Foster really hurt us as well. He looked to be a very promising 3-tech DT. I think he was the was the reason we let Tom Johnson go, then Foster gets hurt and goes on IR. Argghhh! Just bad luck I guess. |

LIMITED - Limited participation in practice; LB Hau'oli Kikaha (ankle), G Tim Lelito (shoulder), WR Willie Snead (knee). NFL Injury Report - WLOX.com - The News for South Mississippi Swann is still a huge concern IMO. His playing time minizes the troubles Browner can get into. Ok there is no stopping him but minimizing is a good thing. |
