Let's just ride Dennis Allen out for now then evaluate candidates after the season, I would say bench browner but I don't know the health of Breaux, Lewis, and Swann,,,hmm!!

Forget it bench browner. Kyle Wilson, Brian Dixon, activate Brandon Dixon from practice squad. Time to set example and let the defensive player know bull $#!+ will no longer be tolerated

Denis Allen as interim coach? OK
Denis Allen defensive coordinator in 2016? Hell no!

We need some fresh blood. Either a college coach or an proven assistant from another team. When I say proven, I mean an assistant who has excelled at his job duties and has some fire.

I'd look closely at those coaches within the Cards organization ... not sure if these are Arians guys or if he inherited Todd Bowles players but I like what they are doing out there. Their defense is structured nicely.

It'll be limited to whoever's willing to work with the asses... I mean assistant coaches who will still be here. Sean'll protect his useless buddies. That will greatly shrink the pool of candidates.

Arians guys. Chicago interviewed him and they were very close to make him new HC. But they didn't allow him to bring his own guys (sounds familiar?) so Arians decided to take Arizona job.

Waaayyyy too early for this conversation. Dick Lebeau is still employed until the season ends.

Bobby H said the assistant coaches are not the problem.

If Mike Pettine is fired in Cleveland I'd consider him.

I like Gus Bradley if he is fired in Jacksonville.

Re: Top Candidates to Replace Rob Ryan Other Than Dennis Allen

Jacksonville would be stupid to fire a coach that has improved a team that was really in shambles that bad. Bortles is playing better, the receivers are getting more involved and they will probably have 6-7 wins on the season, the most they have had since he came on(Gus).

Bradley will get at least one more year in Jacksonville. I think Pettine will too in Cleveland. I would take either as DC in a heartbeat. Might even try to pry Matt Patricia away from the Pats. I honestly don't know which direction we go at HC if Payton is allowed to talk to other teams or just wants out. We could be headed for some more of our less glorious days.

to early to say. I say lets see what Dennis can do

the raiders are for the most part made of players he got. the only thing i would not let him do is run wild in FA. Williams was the master at FA for the defense

Magicians and SP call it "Misdirection" for a reason. Scores of PK's TE's, DL and DC's in 10 years. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

Reminds me of the priest in 10 telling Dudley Moore "Whenever Mrs. Kissel breaks wind, we beat the dog!" You figure out who's who

I like Smart out of Alabama.

I think Allen was brought in by us to actually groom him to take over one day as DC.

I like trying to get someone like Smart. Then go after those draft pics coming out of the SEC to play for him.

Not sure Smart wants to leave Alabama, he gets to coach 8-11 5* recruits each year on defense. I love the idea but not sure how he would assimilate to the NFL.

You know what, that's something that has never made any sense during Payton's era of coaching. You have a pipeline of NFL talent 60 miles east of you yet you don't have a single one from there on the roster. I'm no LSU homer but come on, you coach in a state that is in the SEC. Why not use some of the talent that comes from that conference?

Just tired of seeing the team draft a "small-school" sleeper and placing the success of the franchise on them. This front office got extremely lucky on hitting on Evans and Colston and for some reason they think that it will work every season.
