Re: Rob Ryan Fired, Dennis Allen new DC
nothing will change, in a way rob is not fired he will draw a salary till contract runs out. being a non working employee he will have his insurance revoked and put on harp/Obama care. may all your dreams come true rob. I liked the hire at first, then you lost the players with your non-accountability /it will be alright guy it will come to you, right when hell freezes over. good luck whenever you drop that baby or turd that's in that garage.

Re: Rob Ryan Fired, Dennis Allen new DC
Regarding Browner, I wonder if, now, we'll use him more to his strengths and get better results? I honestly don't know. Maybe some of you X and O folks can chime in, but it seems like, as per our usual, we were asking him to play a roll he wasn't really suited for?

Re: Rob Ryan Fired, Dennis Allen new DC
(no expert) from what I've read Browner is best when covering a Tight End or playing man to man with safety help over the top. Ryan had him as an outside corner playing zone most of the time. Huh?
As long as Byrd is now not 30 yards off the line of scrimmage then I know they are trying to improve |

Re: Rob Ryan Fired, Dennis Allen new DC
5-6 keepers was a bit conservative. I might go to 8.
Jordan, Anthony, Kikaha, Edabali, Hawthorne, Lewis, Browner(if zone), and just roll the dice on the 8th. The rookies are balling most every week. Having a good week and then disappearing for 2 weeks just won't cut it. There has to be a pillar that can be counted on every week so we can build around it. No consistency week to week; except the need to score +30 to stay in the game. If suddenly these guys get new life and start doing what they haven't been able to do for 10 weeks, there are other things going on and some soul searching is in order. |
Re: Rob Ryan Fired, Dennis Allen new DC
Browner is trash in zone, as we've seen week in and week out here

I wish the best for the dude. after his first year I really thought it was a perfect fit. I was wrong. I still feel horrible wishing for someone to lose their job.

Let's see JByrd in a scheme that will allow him to be a ball hawk at the position :smokin:. |
