Report: Brandon Browner likely to receive a few big bonuses this year
 

While Brandon Browner has been one of the most penalized players in the NFL this year, he's still seeing plenty of time on the field.




To top it off, if Browner's amount of playing time stays where it's currently at, Nick Underhill of The New Orleans Advocate reports that he's going to get a pretty hefty payday when 2015 comes to a close.

Browner was a big-named addition this offseason for the Saints, so there's no surprise they're using him even if he's struggled at times. It'll be interesting to see how his percentage of snaps played looks at the end of the season.

125k? big deal its that $2,250,000 roster bounces tied up with 5.3 million in dead money in 2016 that makes it all a mute point this year

we have one more to deal with him. 2017 he had a dead dollar amount of 1.3 mill so cutting him in 2017 would add another 5 mill in cap space for 2017.

WOW, that is just awful. The way he has played, he should feel guilty taking any type of bonus. Not going to happen, but he should.

If Allen uses him like Browner was used in Seattle then he has a chance to earn that pay check.

I'm not sure he is able at this point to play at that level. Maybe he needs to go back to smoking weed before games. Let him be a little more relaxed.

Again, he's never been this bad. This is where defensive players come to die. When there is help up front he will be fine and so will all our DBs. That's our most talented position believe it or not.
PRob was the number 3 corner a few weeks back believe it or not and Malcolm Jenkins has be consistantly impressive. It's us not them.

That's a $125k bonus for each percentage reached of 80%, 85% and 90%. So if he plays 90% of the snaps it would be $375k. Still not a lot in this business, but far more than he has earned, and to think that it's merely a potential bonus for him is pretty sad.

I don't know how you can think Browner is just a victim of bad coaching. The bad coaching was the fact that they kept putting him out there, and will likely continue to do so. It's one thing to not fit in... It's another altogether when you are committing a penalty on almost every play. He's bad.

I don't know where P-Rob even is, but I sure haven't been impressed by anything I've seen from Jenkins since he left. I continue to be confused as to why people keep praising him.

well when you have a huge corner that can jam wideouts or t's at the line you could probably blitz a few times to help improve the rush...maybe?

Or you could do the RR defense, death by 1000 cuts, or in most cases 6 cuts as that is the amout of plays teams require to march 80 yards for a td

Could you ever imagine watching a team gain 400 god damn yards in a half and for your fat ass to sit back and refuse to blitz...is it going to make any ****ing worse?

When we blitz, it's usually somebody like Vaccaro. Browner just isn't very quick. I'm not sure where he can possibly help us, to be honest.

Anyone can see that the worst place for him to be is out on an island covering a WR. But when they've occasionally tried to disguise their coverages and Browner switches out on a TE, he hasn't covered them well either. He's just been awful. I really don't know what the Patriots could have possibly done last year to mask his deficiencies, but it seems he's lost any ability to make a positive contribution.

I am not advocating for BB, do not misunderstand, but what I am saying is if you are going to use him then you should have him jam the te hard at the line and see if you can get home. I mean he's going to get run by anyway lmao. Might as well try something, and there is another article that confirms everyone's suspicion that douche bag ryan wasn't blitzing.

If all else fails pay someone to take his knee out so we don't pay the bonus (im kidding of course)
