Sadly I'm not sure he'll return to dominance after this. He'll be 30 in May and surely lose a step after dealing with this nagging injury.

Hate to say it, but another case of a big contract with very little return. Rotten luck on this one, hopefully he will be back strong next year.

Lewis did his best to play through his injuries and I appreciate that. However, he is almost 30 and injuries begin to catch up eventually. The good news is most rugby players still play at a high level well into their thirties.

So there's a chance we'll have him a couple of more years if rehab goes well. The problem is there seems to be more than one injury that needs rehab.

Damn. I wish he had never given #28 to Spiller. His play went down hill after that.

I fully believe that Breaux has what it takes to develop into a #1 CB... So maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing if Lewis has to be #2. That could still be one heck of a CB duo!

Not sure I could see the wisdom in playing WestBank on a bad hip like that...

At his age, does he come back as even an effective corner?!?

Even with PJ Williams coming back with Breax and Swann in fold, and Browner needing to go, we're drafting at least another cornerback in the offseason...

He *****ed and moaned all offseason about money and failed to show up this year. SP should of stood his ground and made him play with his contract.

False. He panicked on the first day of free agency when we were trading away starters and the word was that we were having a fire sale. He wanted more of a guarantee that he would get to stay with the team he loved in his hometown.
