Keep Sean and Bring in Bill Parcells as the new GM

Parcells could be a guy that would make a lot of sense to me as our new GM. Sean respects the man and Parcells is a guy that would not be afraid to tell Sean he has to improve. He may be too old though at 74 so it might not be a great idea

Love the idea, but no way Parcells is coming out of retirement in my mind.

I don't agree with bringing in Parcells. I think Loomis is the right guy for the job. What the Saints must do is do a much better job drafting players, which appears they may be heading in the right direction. Draft players who can help today and please stop worrying about 3 years later. Continue to look for help in other leagues and small colleges. Go back to staying out of the big name free agent market (unless a QB is needed), the Saints made a great living signing tier 2 type of free agents and fitting them into what they do. Go back to making a player play out his contract before getting a new one. Remember how Jimmy Graham was not given a new contract, then look at the shift in philosophy with Gallette and Keenan Lewis. Not ready to call out Lewis because his decline this year was injury related, but wouldn't it have been better for Lewis to get injured under his old contract? Remember too that a lot of the bad moves Loomis made over the past few years was an attempt to put together one last great team for an aging Hall of Fame QB...

Yeah can't see the Tuna getting back in the action. I'm sure Sean still look's to him for advice they seem to remain close.

Not Parcells. He's done with that stuff. We need hungry people. I always liked Loomis and Payton and always will be I think they got us our bowl and kept mortgaging everything for a second shot and it failed. Nothing to be ashamed of in that and it's time for a rebuild. I have no issue if they are the ones to do it or if they aren't interested in that. It can be tough to fail and have the humility to admit it and start over from scratch with a new 3-5 year plan. I hope they do. If not I hope we chose wisely in their replacements.

No and No! SP needs to go no matter who the GM is.

I vote for:
1. not bringing in Parcells and
2. no keeping Payton

Let's see ... we're talking about hiring a legendary coach as GM and pay him a heft salary just to hold our own coach accountable. I don't like it, seems like we are digging ourselves even deeper.

Could have been the answer several years back, definitely not an option now.

Carmicheal has shown he can run our offense very well. Keep him as the OC. Bring in a defensive minded head coach since that has been our albatross for 10 years. Mickey is a numbers guy and tries to get Sean what he wants while making the numbers work. Sean made the decisions on Jimmy, Stills, etc.

Sean has tried very hard to address the D, but it hasn't worked. His fire is just not the same. It flares up from time to time now, but since he was suspended he's just different. Remember his response when he was asked if he was OK when that suspension ruling came down?
