Dennis Allen... Our New HC?
 

So I mentioned this in the thread about Fletcher Mackel saying that Payton is a goner and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. Dennis Allen was brought in as some vague assistant who we all knew would be our DC at some point this season. What if Payton knew he was on his way out and planned on handing the keys over to Allen?

Payton said he planned on leaving the Saints in good shape when he moved on and Dennis Allen is one of his guys with a QB we spent a 3rd round pick on at his disposal moving forward.

He's not ready to be a head coach yet. I don't know if he'll ever be HC material.

Why would Payton give a **** about what kind of shape we are in when he leaves? It would be in his best interest to leave this team in shambles. Especially if he thought he would wind up in the NFC. Hes not exactly what you would call a stand up guy.
