It would be sweet to see Colston get to 10,000 yards....

My guess is that he drops two or three before getting the milestone.

^Let's tank our offense for Colston.

His numbers fell off the deep end. I thought he could play a while in that role but maybe just too many injuries. Man has made some amazing catches in his career but has also taken the hits of a TE.

Colston has 36 catches on 52 targets this year, which mean he is catching 69.2% of balls thrown his way. 2 drops on 52 targets is 3.9% which places him 124th in the league in drops. To put that in perspective for you, that means there is nearly 4 players per team in the WHOLE NFL with more drops this year than Colston. WOW can you imagine that. Saints leader in drops is Ben Watson with 4. So to sum it up for you, stop *****ing about Colston making it sound like he is dropping 30 passes per games because it simply isn't true. Re: Colston getting close to 10,000 yd receiving yd mark
So colston needs to average around 66 yards per game to hit 10,000 by years end.
Colston's always excelled at finding holes in Zone Coverage because he and Drew were perfectly on the same page. However that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, remember vs Colts when Brees threw the ball up and Colston didn't even turn to locate it, interception. Crappy Drafts, Poor Cap management and dodgy hirings have ailed us for 2 years and made our future seasons look bleak - unless major steps are taken, e.g Payton and Loomis both go. I'm sick of seeing articles saying things such as " Saints don't have a player left on the team from 2012 draft" etc. Shoddy drafting put all the emphasis on free agency, where Mickey Loomis pushes all the cap hit to end of the contract so it bites us further down the line. It's time to move on from Loomis and Payton in my opinion. |

Wish even half the injured roster these past four years had played through the same level of pain, injury he's played through...

Think it was the 2011 season, but I remember him having Megatron numbers and there wasn't a single mention of it in the press.
Soldier on, Colston ... you da' man, :). |
