Did we have Cairo Santos at one point and cut him to stay with Hartley?

In 2013 I remember when we signed a Santos out of Mexico who could make long kicks and all where he was at but we ended up letting him go. Was that Cairo?

I think that was Jose Maltos. I don't think he ever caught on with another team.

I guess that's who it was then. I thought it was a Santos.

Santos played for Tulane. Right under Paytons nose!

Kicker is the least of our problems right now.

We have a defense getting flagged every time they turn around and an offense who struggles to consistently move the ball; but we're worried about the kicker?

So did about 8 other ones. You think there is a kicker tree somewhere we can pluck one from? As stated...this is the least of our worries. I bet you weren't whining when he made that 57 yarder to win us a game huh...

When it comes to a 50+ yard kick they are preparing more for those but Forbath is missing the 30-40 yarders.

Shayne Graham was 4 - 4 with a longest of 52 into the wind, right down the middle. Go figure.

With a team like this, a kicker is the only major scoring threat. So, yeah.

Roll with what we've got at kicker until this season is over and then reevaluate the position along with hundreds of other positions.lol

Remember what KMajor told me last year on one of the threads about kicking below sea level. Also, these kickers expect us to score at home. The FGs have been missed at home, not on the road.

How exactly does this "below sea level" process work?

Been saying it for a couple years now but some of you guys don't understand that the kicking is a 3 part process. Snap, hold and kick. I've seen too many bad or mis-handled snaps to keep blaming our kickers we sign. I look for a new
LS in camp next year if not one trying out every week the rest of this year.

^That might be it, but I still believe the kickers mindsets are not on kicking FGs when we are threatening to score as the redzone FGs have been the misses.

Will, what the heck are you talking about?! Kicking below Sea level? I never stated that. I hate the kicking position & wish all NFL teams were required to go for two after ever score.
