NFL says Mark Ingram flag was for choreographed celebration, not throwing football
Why doesn't the league flag scam for all the players dancing with him when he scores?
“There was another New Orleans player out of the camera shot that was part of this demonstration,” Blandino said. “That’s choreographed, that’s a demonstration, that’s the rule. Unsportsmanlike conduct. . . . Can’t do a choreographed demonstration after a score, after a sack, whatever it is. Fifteen yards assessed on the kickoff.” NFL says Mark Ingram flag was for choreographed celebration, not throwing football | ProFootballTalk |

And Scam's 'Riverdance' showgirl line isn't...nice.

Re: NFL says Mark Ingram flag was for choreographed celebration, not throwing football
That's all you see on Sundays is choreography in the end zones,. NFL's losing credibility, IMO..

Re: NFL says Mark Ingram flag was for choreographed celebration, not throwing football
So let me get this straight... There were three occasions where Carolina had twelve men on the field with no flag thrown but if Ingram and Cooks both do the bow and arrow celebration then it's a penalty. I don't know how much longer I can tolerate the NFL.

The time is ripe for a "new" league!

Re: NFL says Mark Ingram flag was for choreographed celebration, not throwing football
If this is even true, then why not flag the other guy? Ingram spiked the ball against the wall. I didn't see any follow up choreography on his part. So what does it matter what some other guy was doing?
Of course, that isn't even the worst problem with it. As others have mentioned, we all know that players do choreographed crap after the vast majority of any big plays they make. |
Re: Ingram Can't Dance ...
What I don't get is a defense being spanked for 24 pts and 400+ yards and it's not even the end of the third quarter, and...
Some @$$hat is celebrating a sack... |
Re: Ingram Can't Dance ...
The NFLPA should lobby to get a 5 minute celebration timeout for the scoring player to deliver a speech thanking their parents for being born, their agents for the big $$$$ contract or perform a 3 act play about how tough their early lives were, ect.

Re: Ingram Can't Dance ...
ridiculous NFL. BTW out of picture = out of mind. Are you telling me that no camera picked up this alleged 2nd player doing his thing in time with Ingram. Shame because it would have shown some team co-ordination.
Sweepstake on next weeks silly flag? My bid - Looked at me in a funny way. Unsportsmanlike penalty. |
Re: Ingram Can't Dance ...
Well, at least Roger's suggesting increasing the use of technology to limit some of these officiating discrepancies:

SO ...why is the Lambeau Leap tolerated and not flagged and fined?
|
Re: Ingram Can't Dance ...
I didn't see it but from the description...
Sounds like it was a ref upset because the ball hit someone. Now trying to figure a way to make it stick. |
