I will admit that on paper Drew would totally rock it in that offense with the 2 runningbacks, AJ Green and Eifert who is similar to Jimmy Graham. But it's bad timing for the Bengals and now unfortunately they might look like last year's Cardinals (team playing great, but can't overcome crappy backup QB's). Brees would be great for them (and Drew to be able to make the playoffs) but realistically it just won't work out.

Never advocated Brees straight up for Dalton. At least 2 top picks if not more.

As far as dead money goes, the Bengals should have to agree to take Brees' entire 2016 contract, too, if we're talking about securing our future by sacrificing our immediate present. The Bengals want to win it, they need to swallow the whole hook.

In my first post in this thread, I did say no way, no how this trade would ever happen. What I just wrote is why it will not happen. This trade possibility is ludicrous at best.

Assuming there'd be a extension sign/trade to reduce Brees' 2016 cap number to give relief for the 2016 Saints number and off the books moving forward...

Personally, I don't want Payton going anywhere, especially Dallas; but also because Payton OWNS the division rival Falcons...
