Saints 05 Shedule??
Can anyone help me understand the Saints 05 schedule? I understand the div alternating, conference thing but how does Strength of schedule work? I thought that your standing the previous year determines your next season's schedule. Looking at the Saints opponent list I noted that they're going to NYJ, Minn, GB, NE!! and St. Louis, then of course their div games. That's one tough road schedule! I'm curious about the Rams again I guess. We went there last year so Why don't they come here like what happened with MINN ( last year here, this year there )? The Rams got the Wildcard over the Saints and then they get to host us again??? Anyways thanks for any comming info. P.S Anyone else excited but nervous about facing the Patriots in NE??? That's quite a measuring stick and I hope it's near the end of the season.

Saints 05 Shedule??
Basically the schedule is set in advance due to there being an even 32 teams. No accounting for who will be good and who will be bad each year. It\'s pre-set regardless of schedule, although back in the day they did it according to SOS year to year. I guess it\'s easier for the NFL to just plan it in advance for parity\'s sake. Miami pickd 2nd in the draft and they have the hardest schedule next year.

Saints 05 Shedule??
In the NFC you play
Your own division - 6 games Another NFC Division which rotates every year - 4 games The team from the other two NFC division that finished in the same place you did In the AFC you play an entire division, which rotates yearly This year we play the NFC North, The AFC West, and the 2nd place teams from the NFC West (St Louis) and NFC East (Giants) So actually two games factor into the win/loss from the previous year. |
